Hey guys, so ive been thinking about this for literally months and I want some opinions from any Australian/Asian Arianators. WILL Ari come down under for her Sweetener World Tour? Ive noticed a lot of fans commenting on her Instagram and Twitter, begging for more dates despite her circumstances, and two of the most requested legs are Australia/NZ, and Asia. Tbh I believe Asia deserves a leg more than us Aussies do, as Japan was low-key an inspiration for the 7 Rings promo and video, but Australian dates have been something I've been wondering about for a while...

Here are a few things, for and against, as to whether she will or not:

Her Mental Health:

- As you can imagine, Dangerous Woman Tour and especially the Manchester and One Love shows had a massive impact on her, majority of artists would've taken a huge break from their career after such a massive tragedy to happen, however Ari still finished her fourth album and even made a fifth, alongside planning another tour. Ariana has opened up about touring being "hell" for her after those events that happened in 2017, which is understandable.

- In September, a month before officially announcing the World Tour, she went onto twitter revealing she had mixed feelings about "sweetener tour" happening.

around a month after she tweeted this, the official first dates for the tour were announced. The tour kicked off in the US.

- In April 2019, Ariana revealed that touring hasn't been great for her mental wellbeing, fans questioning whether she should even be touring to begin with:

Sweetner Tour is the first tour to be named a "World Tour":

- Unlike her previous tours, Honeymoon Tour (My Everything Tour) and Dangerous Woman Tour, this is the first tour she's done to have "World Tour" attached to it. Now I'm unsure if it really makes a difference, as Madonna has done some tours with it (Girlie Show World Tour, Re-Invention World Tour) and some without it (MDNA tour, Rebel Heart Tour), but its a new title for her. And being that she's added more dates (particularly in the US) than she's previously done on tour, its possible this would be the biggest tour she's done IF she visits places outside of the US and Europe.

It might only be a US and Europe only tour:

- Despite the name of the tour saying otherwise, fans have suggested Ariana is trying to keep as close to home as possible for the tour, so she may only be visiting the US and Europe for this tour. Ariana confirmed this as one fan pointed out her "lack" of European dates, to which Ariana explained that she is trying to stay as close to home as possible, however she's getting better and perhaps may add some more European and other dates later on. rumourhasit.mp3 though that the recent dates she announced for the US may be the final part of the Sweetner Tour, which ends at Inglewood on December 22. Other rumours suggest the tour will extend into 2020 but since her last tour only lasted 7 months, its unlikely it'll extend into next year.

Outside of the US, Ariana charts incredibly in Australia and Asia primarily:

- Usually artists bring their tours to countries/cities that their music charts well in, making Australia/Asia dates very necessary - but nor a forced option. Im pretty sure Ari's management have had talks about bringing the tour here at one point or another, as both Sweetener and Thank u, Next have done extraordinarily well here both on charts and radio.

Ariana has expressed her love for Australia and Asia:

- I can't actually pin point exact quotes from her, although ive heard it interviews. I remember though back when she was promoting "Focus" in 2015, Ariana had expressed a deep desire to not only bring her tour (later known as Dangerous Woman Tour) to Australia, but she wanted to START the tour here. I can't find the direct quote for this one, but I remember my friend (who's a MASSIVE fan) showed me an artist to which Ariana had said in an interview she had a concept of beginning her "next" tour in Australia as the first leg. Obviously this didn't happen, however she managed to announce the Australian leg four months after the original tour announcement.

iHeartRadio teased an Australian leg:

- This probably doesn't count as teasing as it's just them hyping it, so this section ive written is probs a massive reach, but thought id include it anyway so DONT DRAG ME! iHeartRadio Australia posted an article sharing the news of the initial Sweetener World Tour announcement, and included this at the end of it: "But just keep breathin’ Aussie fans! We don’t think we have to worry about missing out just yet because it definitely states ‘World Tour’ meaning we can only assume she’ll be heading Down Under at some point too!"

This article may sound stupid, but im hopeful she does announce more dates, as are a lot of Arianators, I am thankful she came to Australia for her last tour, and I was extremely appreciative that I got to see her live in Melbourne, however this is more of a hype thread for those who also perhaps haven't seen her live and REALLY want the chance to experience what I did last time.

So, what do you guys think? Would a tour in these two countries be appropriate or should she end the tour in Inglewood and not have it reach into 2020?

My biggest problem with this tour is that she labeled it a 'world tour'. A WORLD TOUR:saladga:

BUT she only went to the US and Europe. that isn't a world tour. Taylor went to more places on the rep tour and didn't call it a world tour. If she just called it the 'sweetener tour' I would have been fine with it, like whatever:vegas:

But if you're going to call it a world tour don't just go there (US and Europe) LET ALONE add more dates to the US tour when she has fans all over the world who want to see her:selena:

Cause if she did come to NZ I would 100% try to go and see her and I'm pretty sure a lot of my friends would too:staymad:

So I know it's important for her to take care of her mental health BUT her and her team should really think through labels like 'world tour' cause they do imply certain things:laughga:

Ariana's doing more shows than most performers do on tours, but the bulk is definitely in the US. Back when that Scooter Braun mess was out, we were talking about how most tours are 60-80 shows and Ariana was doing over a hundred. Gaga did something like 200 for The Monster Ball and had 90 plus shows scheduled for BTW, and that basically drove her into a breakdown of sorts. It honestly seems kind of weird/sh*tty that Scooter scheduled her for so many shows, especially considering the stress she must have from Manchester, and it gives credence to the idea that he overworks his clients.

Australia/Asia would be amazing for her fans obviously, but for her mental and physical health it might be hard for her imo—especially as she has already talked about her anxiety and stress from touring.

exactly my thoughts. I honestly wouldn't be bothered if Australia wasn't on the list as her mental health comes first and Gaga is also going through a similar situation, however if you know for a fact you're not going to tour at least majority of the countries in the world, she could've easily named it just "Sweetener Tour" like she did with DWT, that way she isn't suggesting anything she cannot promise and people will be less bummed out. But I just hope she is ok in general, if it doesn't happen this tour, she's still so young, she has plenty of time to tour again and again, if Madonna can do it at 60 she's got forever!

I never thought about this actually, Scooter has really pushed her to do this massive tour. I compared both DWT and SWT after I read your comment and noticed her last tour she travelled more countries and did the same amount of shows as this current one, however if she is including new countries that'll make this her biggest tour so far. The demand for her is high, but I think they should've spaced out the shows, instead of doing two massive bulk legs in the US. I also saw heaps of complaints from Italian Arianators as they are missing out too and there's a "Euro leg".

you're correct - she does change her mind a lot. and from originally questioning a world tour to begin with to doing a massive 9 month US/EU tour, its possible she may change her mind. I'm here for whatever tbh. It also could be Ari demolishing the rumours because Arianators tend to buy rumours, unlike little monsters who have in a way matured, and take every rumour with a grain of salt now...

lets just sit and wait for any further announcements.

sometimes I do worry about her. She is at at similar hard working stage as Gaga was during BTWB/early ARTPOP era. I just don't want her to break like Gaga did. If she announces an Australian tour I wouldn't be surprised as for Dangerous Woman tour she ended the tour in Australia as far as I remember...my date was one of the final ones of her tour.

Completely agree.

Her mental health comes first but her and her team have to think about how it is marketed:saladga:
