AlexanderMagno 10,746 Posted July 27, 2019 Share Posted July 27, 2019 Brown Eyes is a glimpse of Gaga pre-Fame, it’s sort of an odd to the Red and Blue girl that disappeared so Gaga could be born The only song I skip is Beautiful Dirty Rich thematically, it fits the album and I would not replace it, but I just don’t like the song. I get what you mean but I disagree It might come across as lazy (and the whole song has that kind of "lazy", laidback attitude, almost musically "whining" and mellow, which I love) but I like how that song is more emotionally simplistic in contrast to the witty, sometimes perplexing lyrics on the previous batch of songs. I mean, she addresses it herself: "guess it's just a silly song about you". But even though it's just silly, it sounds more serious and mature than any song on that record. I like that contradiction. It makes it feel more... real. Anyway, you don't have to like it ofc, just giving my opinion I just hope there's more people around that love it After Speechless I consider it to be her best ballad, actually.
