Correction: Joanne is a masterpiece, so is ARTPOP, so is TFM, so is BTW, so is ASIB and so is TF

Well, musically they are, but I meant in terms of cohesion based on the main theme of the albums. Like Joanne has a lot of songs that have nothing to do with Gaga's late aunt or ARTPOP has a lot of songs that doesn't talk exactly about Art

Hell no.

The Fame Monster is her best work (although I think all her stuff is amazing :firega:) but I agree to a degree it’s not cohesive as say Born This Way, which had some main themes and music styles, but it still works as a great dark pop album. Consider also that before this, Gaga only released The Fame which was happy bubble gum pop. The dark lyrics and edgy sound made The Fame Monster standout and in a way cohesive. So please, do not say it’s a messy album unless you actually have some constructive criticism or reasons. Thanks. :usrs:

would run the risk of diluting the concept and having fillers. Just think of Born This Way :poot: It’s a mess but it’s the most straight-to-the-point she’s ever had for a record

BTW is a masterpiece from top to bottom, there are no fillers in it :triggered:

I mean we consider TFM an album but it was released as an EP and reissue of TF so it was never really meant to “flow”

if TFM is a mess, then the other pop guys & girls only WISH they could achieve such a masterful mess of a record :firega:

No, is not.  It's a pop classic, arguably her magnum opus and one of her most cohesive albums. There is nothing off about the tracklisting.

A mess, no. But the most cohesive ? Absolutely not.

Sonically it is, in my opinion. And contrary to what y'all drama queens are saying, that doesn't mean it's a bad album.

Three productions on the album don't match any of the other songs: Teeth, DITD and Speechless (to be clear, I love all these songs)

- Teeth barely has any electronic elements, sound sort of tribal, and it's the only song where her voice isn't stylised in any way. It's the only song that doesn't follow the typical pop structure.

- DITD would've fit perfectly on BTW with it's heavily distorted sound and even the theme. The only song that sort of matches on TFM is Bad Romance.

- Speechless is the least fitting. The retro sound, the accent, and the lack of synths. It shares no production elements with any other songs. Even thematically I think it doesn't really match the other "fears", as this is the only fear driven by something external, and not her personal psyche.

The other songs all match relatively well. Clean, modern, somewhat industrial synths. Boppable. It's a diverse album, and it's great, but the style is a little all over the place.

You could say the same about ARTPOP, but at least there I get the feeling it was intentional, as that whole era was centred around transforming every second.

It’s hard to organize such a variety of eight tracks, if more songs were included than it most likely would have flowed more cohesively

i think maybe it would have been more cohesive if it were organized like this:

1. Bad Romance

2. Telephone

3. Dance In The Dark

4. Monster

5. Alejandro

6. So Happy I Could Die

7. Speechless

8. Teeth

And don’t get me started on adding “Out Of Control” and “Reloaded” so that maybe this would have been a real album :awkney: but adding more tracks, such as “Glitter And Grease” or “Animal” would run the risk of diluting the concept and having fillers. Just think of Born This Way :poot: It’s a mess but it’s the most straight-to-the-point she’s ever had for a record

sorry but there's not a single filler on Born This Way

I mean her concept of “Monsters” is kinda convoluted, it’s probably her second most convoluted album after ARTPOP but it’s good nonetheless. I still want an album full of SHICD songs, an R&B life Dreampop album would snatch me bald. She has the vocals for R&B more than any other genre so
