Homophobia. Simple as that. Even the most accepting straights are homophobic (or rather can be, we have straight allies I don’t want to erase them) as in they don’t care about the lgbt minority in other countries or about lgbt issues outside of their country.

The madness has been going on in many places. Middle East, China and Russia all come to my mind. The West should start forcing these countries to give the LGBT community basic rights. There is no way they are even going to accept even 10% of the LGBT population that live in all these places.
