The discussion can be had. I was contributing, and in contributing, I was saying that this whole situation is nowhere near as deep as people have been making it

I appreciate that. Just know that it feels a tad on the condescending and dismissive side to open with "Do people ever get tired of complaining about things that are seriously not that deep?"
Especially when my OP didn't really warrant that energy imo

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

Can we re-open that ggd members you hate thread cuz I got a few names now :bradley:

Y'all get so offended at such a simple question. No one's hating on gaga, just wanting more diversity in body types when it comes to her models.

I think make up doesn't have a size, but I get what you're saying. Maybe she'll show more diversity in the future :)

You're right, it's nice to have a little diversity in a campaign no matter what it's for. And the fact that people are unironically using the term snowflake and SJW on this website... yikes.

Gaga has been very vocal about body positivity in the past, so I think it's definitely a possibility in the future

It’s their first ****ing ad can you wait before you see the next promo vids til you say that ?! Obviously the cast will change and then if it’s all skinny models again you can call it fishy. They can’t include every single kind of human being in one single ad with like 6 people :madge:

it becomes pandering when you start collecting ethnic backgrounds and body-types and disabilities and whatever else there is diversity-wise.

Exactly if you have all types of diversity folks say you're just "trying super hard to appear inclusive" and that it's "not spontaneous", "forced", "just a marketing trick" etc.

At the same time if you don't do it then they look for a minority you may forgot among the ones you shown to blame you for not being inclusive enough.

Damn if you do, damn if you don't.

So let me ask you guys, why aren't you asking for anorexic models as well? Like, clearly underweight models? With them embracing their skeletal figures?

bcuz diversity. fat people have been SHAMED, have been RIDICULED, have been ENSLAVED TO THE PROPAGANDA THAT SKINNY IS BEAUTIFUL. skinny people never go through any of that, because of their SKINNY PRIVILEGE.

Spoiler

:lmao:
