WASHINGTON – A Louisiana police officer last week said in a Facebook post that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is a "vile idiot" who should be shot.

A screenshot of the post by veteran Gretna police officer Charlie Rispoli wastaken by The Times-Picayune/The New Orleans Advocate. In it, Rispoli shares a blog post that falsely claims the New York Democrat said "We pay soldiers too much."

"This vile idiot needs a round," reads Rispoli's remarks above Ocasio-Cortez's image. "And I don't mean the kind she used to serve," he adds, referring to her prior career as a bartender.

But as the article points out, this isn't an individual issue. This is a wider issue that has to do with conservative media reporting. Scary times, man.

This is his judgment. His judgement is heavily used in his profession. His profession is to arrest people who are acting badly, not those who think badly. He’s clearly one of the bad ones w a lot of bias. His targeting... must be insane.

After reading a false headline on Facebook, a Louisiana police officer suggested Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-New York, should be shot. His Facebook post, which was spotted by the news site NOLA.com over the weekend, comes amid heightened scrutiny of racist and violent social media posts from police officers nationwide.

Gretna Police Department officer Charlie Rispoli shared a fake news story with a headline that quoted Ocasio-Cortez as saying U.S. soldiers are "getting paid too much." Snopes.com disproved the story as completely fabricated, but Rispoli went ahead and shared it on his Facebook page with a threatening comment.

"This vile idiot needs a round... and I don't mean the kind she used to serve," he wrote, referring to the freshman congresswoman's previous job as a bartender, while also insinuating Ocasio-Cortez should be shot.

Rispoli and Angelo Varisco, a fellow officer who reportedly liked the post, have since been fired, CBS affiliate WWL-TV reported Monday. During a press conference, Gretna Police Chief Arthur Lawson called the incident "an embarrassment to our department." 

"These officers certainly acted in a manner which was unprofessional alluding to a violent act to be conducted against a sitting U.S. congressman," Lawson said.

But then this story can become scary because we have two former officers with gun training and most likely own gun themselves will have no job and have enough time just be trolls online or just fester in hate. Either they learn from their mistakes or just burry themselves in hate.

I think after they get fired they need some kind of mental health check up from time to time. because this sounds like something that can become worse if they already hold anger like this towards her or dems.
