$3,000 a month is not a living wage, and I think it might be the lowest Organizers are paid out of all 2020 Dem candidates... so ya

Bernie's entire appeal is platitudes – ones that he'll never have the chance to backtrack on because not a single one of his proposals is passable... so ya

I think it might be = / = fact. So either come back with some figures or just state that you’re biased against Bernie. I remember you from another thread and you just went on and on and on and on (like a bot).

All of his positions can be passed. Nobody said it would be easy.

Bernie's campaign is exactly like Trump. He says the things his supporters want to hear without any real plan to accomplish it. And his supporters are exactly like Trump with the whataboutisms.

Where was Mayor Pete or Kamala Harris mentioned in the OP?

Bernie was the first Democratic nominee to unionize his workers and pay them $15 an hour. However some of them work longer hours and they are currently negotiating proper ways to make sure that they are being paid fairly. Some of you are so desperate to attack Bernie my god :air:

Interesting. How much are they getting paid? Hasn’t he raised a ton of money?

Pretty sure I remember Elizabeth Warren saying her workers would get 15 an hour. (not one hundred percent sure)

I didn’t mention Pete or Kamala until 1) Pete was mentioned or until 2) something that has happened in multiple campaigns was mentioned.

Feel free to call me by name.

Why do they have to negotiate in the first place? Are you kidding me? :neyde:

Incase you didn't notice my first comment was about most Bernie supporters and yes my second comment was about most Bernie supporters using you as an example.

Also

1) Pete was mention in the context of this thread about wages. You then went out of your way to throw in a whataboutism with a stttuuuuppiiidddd shady remark at the end.

2) You also went out of your way to throw in another whataboutism  about Kamala Harris. When you know damn well that the sexual harassment that was settle by her top aid Wallace happened in 2017 and when the story broke he quickly tendered his resignation in 2018 and on top of that you had the audacity to mention it after you posted the comment I quoted below.  Referring to the Tad Devine, Bernie scandal. You are a hypocrite HorusRa2. :vegas:

Is irrelevant IMO. Bernie is not necessarily privy to everything Tad may have done. What is important is that he is not involved in the current campaign now that what you’re referring to has come to light.

1. Yes the response was about wages; however, Pete’s funding of his campaign is just as important as the wages he pays his employees. The person who posted their comment was clearly an attempt to act like Pete treats his employees better even tho Bernie is paying the equivalent of approx $17 per hour.

2. I mention Kamala because again the issue with a Bernie’s campaign was mentioned. I mentioned it to point out the issue was not exclusive to Bernie’s campaign or the way he conducts his campaign.

I am am not a hypocrite but I will not let others openly bash Bernie when the candidates they support are actually worse than he.

Because like you’ve pointed out before, Bernie is not a king that can arbitrarily set up his own rules. These are things that need to be hashed our between his campaign and the union. The union already rejected one of his salary proposals so they have to negotiate a salary they can agree on. Until that happens, some employees will have their hours lowered so that they will earn $15 an hour.

Did you even read the article? Are you kidding me? :neyde:

A—her gender or ethnicity is not a basis for my comments so I don’t understand your emphasis unless it is to suggest I am somehow being either racist or being misogynistic.

B. Not throwing stones. Just pointing out that since you came in to prop up mayor Pete, that he ain’t got nothing to write home about either.

C. That was a poor response from Bernie and he subsequently took further action. Also, sexual harassment is not unusual or exclusive to the Sanders campaign. Let’s ask Kamala about her own issues in that regard.

What else do you got?

You didn’t even know the gender of the person you’re trashing - why should anyone accept what you have to say about them? You obviously have never even googled her name. But ok...

He didn’t say these comments right after the story broke about him ignoring sexual assault. He said them months ago. He had time to reflect and he learned nothing, apparently.

Also, campaign staff salaries are publicly disclosed. Bernie pays organizers the least out of all top 10 candidates. Except maybe Kamala...? Can someone fact check lol I know she pays v little

This clearly a smear! I knew something akin to this would happen when he started his anti endorsement campaign! The billionaires are pressed!

Misleading.

The original agreement was based on a 40 hour agreement. Campaigns (even election workers) tend to work longer hours (special election as an example may mean 10+ hour work days). There is a negotiation being made & that is the purpose of the union.

Next, there are plenty of salaried people working 50-60 hour workweeks myself included & nobody is calling out employers that function that way now are they?

This is is just another smear attempt by the media trying to make a normal situation sound dramatic in order to attack Bernie. I’ve worked for a county where the government and the sheriff union fought all year before a collective bargaining agreement was signed (was signed in December and deputies were given retropay all the way back to January of the same year).

it also makes one wonder if the information that leaked to the Wa Po was not somebody working on the Sanders campaign who doesnt really support Sanders was playing the role of the mole.

Yes, this screams mole to me, he needs to find out who took this to the media asap

“According to the Post, Shakir offered organizer pay to be raised to $42,000 annually and extend the workweek to six days. The offer was reportedly rejected because it would have elevated staff to a pay level in which they'd be responsible to pay more of their own health care costs.”

So, they elevated their pay to under 15 dollars an hour and asked them to pay more of their healthcare costs? I thought 15 dollars an hour wasn’t asking too much, that it was a living wage?
