If the Detroit show is on a weekday, I'll either need to run home after the show or take the next day off of school. My show started at 8:30 and was over by 11:30. Does she meet people when she gets to the venue? yes, also, if you leave just before shes finished singing Fear and Loathing and go round the back of the venue, you should get to meet her when she comes out :) we waited almost an hour and 10 minutes for her to come out, but it was worth it! and i got to be at the front of the barrier because i got there so early :P so yeah, you should be good! I got to the venue at 2 and there were like 5 people in front of me and my friends, one guy had been there since 6 am so they gave him the scratch off card where you could meet Marina. She came out to talk to us an hour before doors opened for the documentary, and we stayed an hour after to meet her. I'm not sure what she's gonna do in May but I'd just get there hours early and it will be violent inside. People were fighting and pushing to get to the front. Obviously I punched people back because they thought they were entitled to be front row even though they showed up 30 mins before doors opened. It's extremely aggressive, much like reviews I've read about Ed Sheeran concerts, so just be careful. I wish all her shows were 18+.... it was a bunch of highschoolers there on a school night, all the gays were wearing grandpa sweaters and skinny jeans, all the girls were dressed like her, hardly anyone knew TFJ songs, they shouted so loud during every song so you couldn't hear. The songwriting is just so much nicer, the production sounds good, her voice unique and not like a d--gged Katy Perry... what the hell happened on Electra Heart? I got there about an hour before the doors opened. There were at least 200 people in front of me, so I felt hopeless to meet her before. But then she came out like 15 minutes later, and then met with a few fans (it was chaotic)... After the show, after the encore of Teen Idle + How To Be A Heartbreaker, I purchased a t-shirt and then stood by the rope, by her tour bus to try to get to meet her. I was, once again in the very back (in line form) but i was directly on the rope, just in the far corner. She came out, people were going crazy. But she met with the people right near her bus... and then skipped like the whole middle section and came up to my friends and I and met us! I got to say hey, i love you, will you sign my Electra Heart with Living Dead on it (not available in the USA.. I ordered it in April from Europe!) And she said I was cute with my heart on my cheek, and I was a superfan for having this album... And she signed my album!!! It was so great! The concert itself was amazing. The performance, the vocals, the audio, the opening act.. Icona Pop >>> was all so amazing. I was bummed out she did not perform 'Valley Of the Dolls' when she did the show before... But still it was great. The crowd was a mix of people, but honestly it felt like a bunch of grade 7-grade 10 girls. Nothing against them, but I would just prefer to be in a GA Floor with a bit older people.. And they were constantly fighting and pushing and shoving for a front view. The other 49% of people were gay boys. Really hyper immature flamboyant gay boys. Again, nothing against them, but they also fought for the front. Most people knew a good many EH songs... but a lot of people had no clue what Obsessions, Mowgli's, Oh No, + Shampain were... The door opened at 7:30.. Icona Pop went from 8:00-7:25. Marina came on at 9:00. I was outside, after merchandise stand at 10:45-ish. It was great concert, even one of the best I've attended. I think it was partially due to the fact that tickets were $25. She proved that you don't have to be a superstar and super famous and make fans pay $200+ for a good show.
