A post praising Haus Beauty for using realistic models made Reddit's front page with 11k+ upvotes.

r/Instagramreality is famous for pointing out the fakeness of beauty brands, so this is meaningful recognition. The GP is already appreciating Haus Beauty's authenticity.

Someone pointed out that it’s still probably photoshopped, and yes while I believe it likely is in areas, it’s still showcasing what skin actually looks like; pores, lines, uneven skin texture etc... Even though the model actually has really great skin, what we perceive as “perfect” looking skin (because of ads) isn’t actually perfect in reality, because 99.9% of people’s skin isn’t. This image shows much more realism than 99% of beauty ads showcasing an impossible beauty standard of poreless skin.

Even if people don’t enjoy HL I hope they at least appreciate the positive influence this has in a market that profits on insecurities.

I was so excited when they posted this picture.  It’s really refreshing to see a somewhat natural looking photograph used as a promotional image. While we all love a little photoshop, the beauty industry and IG have taken it way too far with human beings so smooth that they look flat. I hope HL continues to use realistic photos as part of their campaigning as well as a large variety of models from all types and backgrounds.

You're the only one Gaga's talked about how much she hates filter Instagram culture and magazines editing her face for covers so much, I'd be shocked if she approved retouched pictures for her own line.

@RAMROD @Mirages There's been a large number of people calling it a cash grab too though No one's complaining about these pictures but the actual make-up products is another thing

@RAMROD that's what I meant. Not the pictures but the fact that people seem to see it's unaithentic of Gaga to do the whole line  And I don't blame anybody for thinking that because Gaga comes in again with her story how she wanted to do this for a long time (surprised we haven't heard since she was 13 yet ) and how this is not about make up but about being who you are and it just comes off well ingenuine sometimes.
