THEY didn't come to the usa because they were born there. Whats not clicking. And by that logic you a conservative person from Russia aren't allowed to trash countries with left wing liberal goverments if you were to live in it

Only ONE OF FOUR was not born in the US. It’s a classic xenophobic tactic to paint all non-white usually first generation Americans as foreigners.

This is on another level of disgusting. They are Americans and have chosen to spend their lives working for the US. His logic basicly implies all immigrants or people who's parents are immigrants should leave the US and should go "better their countries" because he does not view them as Americans and that is beyond disgusting. One good thing out of all of this is that it has become VERY VERY clear that Ilhan Omar gets to him and gets his blood boiling and i love that. She should keep it up.

I was specifically referring to Ilhan Omar. 

Yes, that's correct. I would never live in the US if the likes of AOC took power one day. If you don't like it - leave and enjoy your own country. There is no point to trash it.

as an immigrant and a politically involved citizen of my new country, I got remarks such as "your country of origin is sh*t and you should be happy with the situation here and not try to change it for us and if u don't like it just go back there" 

I learnt to overcome these remarks that used to get to me and make me insecure about my position in this society as a new immigrant. 

however, seeing a president, a head of an entire state, invalidate immigrants contributions to democracy is just very hurtful and a slap in the face to all the immigrants and poc that fought hard to change the status quo and improve the lives of all the citizens with no exceptions.

You can absolutely be critical of the country you live in even if you were born abroad and are an immigrant. Especially when you work in the political realm. The whole point of working as a congress person is to draft up plans, pass them and block them to help better the government according to your party's point of view.
