She speaks, acts and has different gestures with each era. From the fame to Joanne she’s different. Along with that she has a decade in this business and is looking towards other things. I would imagine her maturing into that makes some of what she does seem fake because she isn’t living as her persona 24/7 anymore.

EXACTLY. All this negativity looks like just bitterness bcoz shes not doing what fans want her to but what she likes and want to. 

I love how passionate shes about her various projects even this one.

Same was said when ASIB was about to release and she went on to say the 100 ppl quote. And look what happened. She did get oscar and all the well deserved praise. 

Im not saying this haus beauty will be super successful (i hope it is thoL but she always has OVER THE TOP approach.

She doesn't have to explain anything to her fans but it just seems the most logical thing to do as an extension of her whole Mother Monster self-image of days gone past. She has eyes on social media, she knows a lot of her fans are confused and shaken by the sudden changes. I don't think it's that abnormal to let "your friends" (I know Gaga doesn't know her fans personally but if we're gonna compare her life to "normal life" that's a good analogy) who worry about you know what's going on with you when you're suddenly changing character completely

But I'm not expecting that anyway. I'm just explaining why it's difficult for me to just snap my fingers and say "oh well, I guess she must have changed!". I feel like that might be easier for the fans who just like Gaga in whatever shape and form and don't let their fandom be affected by her artistic output per se, but it's not that way for everyone. When it's a very specific "form" or mood of Gaga you were inspired by in a very deep part of your soul, it's not that easy to look the other way and say "that's done then, let me get excited about make-up now!" Doesn't work like that.

I don’t know man, thats an unhealthy mentality. People are supposed to grow and change and if you are putting another person that high on a pedestal the issue is more with you than the other person.

People it's not that hard to ignore this if you don't like the idea of her having a beauty brand, you don't need to call her out for being fake with what she says just because you don't relate to this and overall don't like it. I'm not into beauty products either but I think she's genuine about this, makeup has been a really important thing on her career and to her image so with this brand she wants to release her vision about it. She always liked to make new projects and challange herself. If it's not about music a big majority of this fanbase will do everything to make her sound like a villain, I swear. You don't like it, fine you don't have to support her either but at least have some respect for her decisions since some of you are her fans

Gaga's ability to transform as an artist and as a self-presenting person is literally the reason I fell head over heels for her, you fool You know what my favorite Gaga project is?

Wanna know why? Because she surrenders to the artist. Is given form by the artist. Her identity is defined through an idea, and it doesn't even need to be her own. She was always not just the canvas but also always the materials with which to paint on that canvas. Early Gaga always emphasized how she portrayed a metaphorical character as an intellectual statement against static views on identity, art and expression That made her the most groundbreaking pop artist of our time.

So no, you are soooo ****ing wrong and you don't even realize it. I adore her ability to transform and her prismatic look at how she can express herself. But transformation is not the same as artistic character assassination. She always kept her private life hidden from us in those early days, intentionally, and presented herself as an ever-changing fiction so consistently her true fans stopped wondering who she was as a person and started focusing on what she was portraying herself to be in the context of any given project and why. I never gave a flying **** about what she did in her personal life or if she lied through her teeth the whole friggin' time because we had the art to talk about, the concepts to unravel and the passion and commitment to be inspired by

I never asked for her to start talking about her boyfriend on Ellen or show us around her mansion as if we should care. My only concern was ever for the work and I will judge her work the way I feel is appropriate. That has absolutely nothing to do with my personal opinions or respect regarding Stefani Germanotta, the person. I don't know Stefani, she doesn't know me, we don't have to know each other. All that matters is the exchange between the artist and the person interested in that art. And if questions or criticisms arise about artistic output, taking it personally or intentionally twisting it as if it's an attack on her as a person is the dumbest thing you could do in that situation, especially 'cause you don't know her either and you don't get to represent her, you don't even get to represent yourself as someone who has her best interest at heart

Na-ah. She's said it before and you better be damn sure that still counts. She doesn't want ****ing yes men and women in her family and she does not see fans who are here just to take a parasitical sip from her success to satisfy some kind of gross insecurity and/or arrogance complex of themselves as fans. Does not. At least I know I could walk over to Gaga and have an intelligent conversation with her about art, about life, about meaning, about beauty. If people don't like the product, the message or whatever she is doing, idk, people can criticize and move on. I just hope that this make-up project don't be a constant negativity fountain, like Enigma ad Vegas. Cause it's tiring. I get that some people probably don't "like" her like they used to do, i get that things that she said years ago  aren't the person she is today. At some point probably the best is just to let go a move on.
