BET Founder: Dems "too far left" to defeat Trump in 2020

Considering that “the left” is where a majority of Americans are on the political spectrum, this is a lie. What is true is that unless enough of that majority of Americans go out and vote, then Trump will win in 2020. This means more effort to register to vote. This means exciting young people. This means energizing the base of the party and not the moderates of the party. This means galvanizing independents and bringing people together. Oh wait. There is actually a democratic presidential candidate who knows this and puts this in his messaging on the campaign trail. His name is Bernie Sanders. 

 

And you should vote vote for him. And then, Trump will lose. Almost everanyone else can not defeat this evil.

We're literally talking about affordable healthcare(something Republicans and Trump couldn't do in over 10 effin years and still won't) and education. YOU want to be labeled a racist because you think it'll make people feel bad for you. Well we don't. We already know YOU'RE a racist based on the posts YOU'VE made here in the past. Yes, you're a racist. But Republicans aren't all racist. However, y'all sure love racist policies and keeping your party squeaky clean white. Those are the damn facts. Yeah but it was Hillary. She had too much baggage and was far too polarising. Of course a moderate can do it, but I don't see Joe being the one. He will make too many gaffes and doesn't seem energised.

The sad truth is, there isn't really anyone of the current candidates that I see winning. I mean, my personal choice is Liz cos I REALLY like her plan to break up huge multi nationals. However, when it comes to medicare, why would you not at least give people a private option? Medicare for all or a proper single payer system would be amazing, but why would you remove the option of a good private health plan if your employer was paying for it? It makes no sense.

This ONE single thing will lose the election for any democrat who supports it.This is real **** we are dealing with. Speaking to some of my friends in San Fran and San Diego, they were DEAD against this.  Even the UK has the rather amazing NHS, but you can still get private insurance if you choose.

The difference is that Democrats that won the senate the first two years of Obama were too afraid to lose their seat to pass anything too progressive and they lost their seat regardless. 

Trump's Republicans now are too afraid to lose their seats by standing up to Trump that they pass whatever he wants.

I think they have time to revise their stance but yeah there should be a small private market. And especially if they want people to actually see Medicare and how it will work first.
