Yeah for sure, Bad Romance and Poker Face are bigger, but Shallow is comparable with JD and BTW, probably more WW famous than JD and outselling BTW

I totally agree, in Italy Just Dance wasn’t perceived like a big hit, that’s why my rank looks like this:

1) Bad Romance

2) Poker Face

3) Shallow 

4) Born This Way

5) Just Dance

 

(I think Born This Way could be considered bigger than Just Dance, it’s more iconic and relevant, I know JD outselled but BTW was such a big momentum for Gaga)

Yes, I actually think Shallow has the same worldwide cultural phenomenon weight to it. It became this song where people just recognize from the get go and willing to participate in singing along or dancing along. The many videos where people were screaming at the top of the lungs to what is now known as the Gaga howl shows that they don't only know the song, the song is a vehicle for community activity much like Bad Romance's choreo were. 

Poker Face was a huge hit but it's not exactly what I call a cultural phenomenon like BR and Shallow.

Just Dance doesn't deserve to be there. It never really shined, it was just helped by Poker Face honnestly. Yes it has sold a lot of copies, but it never really had a true moment. Paparazzi is well more known and loved, or Alejandro
