I love a good singer-songwriter, so I respect him a lot, I should listen to more of his stuff. I wish more people like him would be globally successful. I feel like he would have fit right in back in 2014-2015 when the radio was full of Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Hozier, etc. I really miss that time in modern music, where the radio was just full of singer-songwriters who were so full of passion and raw-emotion, who didn’t need flashy lights, they just needed to write a good song and have the passion to sing it, all about the music not the bling. I've said his voice was good, I just thought the cover did his voice no favours. I'm pretty sure it came out before Someone You Love took off or was even released, so it was early stages and it was exciting to watch his talent grow and get appreciated, I loved 'Tough', but as a big fan of the song 'Shallow' I was excited to hear his cover but I didn't like it, I don't think it suited him.
