She could have put out anything from TFM and it would have done about similarly well. She should have made DITD a proper single

It's a beautiful chilly and sexy song, maybe to make it shorter for the radio though

So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy

In my opinion, yes. To be 100% honest, I could see every song on The Fame Monster do very well as a single. The only song that I don’t think had single potential was Teeth. It’s still a masterpiece though, to me it’s just a little too “Broadway” or “campy” for the radio.

All TFM songs have the potential to be a single. There's not one song on that masterpiece that could flop:bye:

I love SHICD so f*cking much but it's more of a deep-cut imo than single material tbh.

Ï could be your girlfriend for the weekend...

At that time period nope. It will chart high but not as stellar as the previous singles. Now though it's more in the vibe. It's a chill and sexy song.

Monster & DITD would've been great singles I always think, also Speechless. Honestly, like one user mentioned anything she released at that point would have done well. But I always think she missed a chance for a halloween classic with a double A-side of Monster & DITD before Born This Way.

She was in position at that time where any of the songs from TFM could have been successful. The hits came automatically at that point.

Of course that changed during the BTW era, and I don’t think SHICD would have done well if it came out in that era (or any later era, even with an updated sound).

I think a radio edit is needed, something that add an FX which makes the chorus kick in harder in a way. Also potentionally remix the bridge so it's a bit more interesting for the GP, even though it is my favorite song on TFM!

The obvious next single contenders were Monster and Dance In The Dark but at that point in time with her popularity everything could've worked.

Yes; I can't add anything else except to say that she ruined her shot at an AOTY Grammy when she only released 3 singles off an EP. An EP with her amount of unreleased music is inexcusable, but leaving TFM as it were, to stop at 3 singles when all charted in the top 3 was just insane.

TFM was a thematic masterpiece that launched at the height of her career. Had she released Starstruck prior to Paparazzi to better brand 'The Fame' era, she could have begun TFM response later, helping BR reach #1. Telephone, to me, is a song that should have been saved for a DWUW-level crisis, as it didn't fit the theme and could have been a smash anytime, anywhere. But, regardless, starting with BR and Telephone, Alejandro could have told the story of finding a new lover before finding out he was a Monster. DITD would have smashed, Speechless would have shown her vocal chops sooner, and SHICD could have been a calmer ending to a crazy, but extremely successful, era.

I think BR, Telephone, and Alejandro could have all been #1's, Monster and DITD top 6, Speechless top 10, and SHICD top 10 based on her popularity alone. With how future eras unfolded, 3 singles from TFM was sad.
