The makeup market is oversaturated asf, feels like this project is a few years too late. I always seen Gaga as an artist that revolutionised fashion and technology, never really associated her with makeup but I believe in her.

Like Jacklyn Hill was a field day for them. The lipstick was apparently repackaged old product.

I’m so scared because these photos will be retouched and people will say she’s selling fake product. 

The highlight on the Black model looks dusty and not blended.

 

The thing is they are harsh, and I'm not trying to come for people who super into the make up scene—but if the make up is bad the GP isn't going to go "Gaga's make up sucks, so I'm not buying music and she must be a terrible person"—Jeffree, James Charles, etc. just don't have that much of an impact outside certain parts of social media/youtube & the under 25 set & Gaga's fanbase is more 25+. For example, when all that James Charles drama happened and he was trending like 95% of blue check journalists on twitter were like "who is that?" and a few were like "oh, he's got something to do with make up." It barely spread past some Buzzfeed articles. I think people forget only 7% of the US is on twitter, and a big chunk of that 7% is devoted to hard news/politics—and I think the numbers are even smaller with different countries. There's been some recent articles on how people vastly over estimate the impact of "influencers."

So even if they savage it, outside of Allure, Refinery 27, and maybe Buzzfeed I doubt reviews will get that much coverage—and if it does there is so much cr*p going on in the world right now, especially politically, that people will quickly lose interest. If Gaga was known for her beauty products or an influencer type, it would hurt her, but she's not and even a "it sucks and is cheap" headline isn't the same type of bad press as the Brian mess or will keep people from buying music.

The only real thing that could hurt her would be headlines saying she wasn't paying attention to diversity, and by the looks of the models that won't be an issue. There's a small chance people (mostly social media) will pit it against FENTY for clickbait (nothing is going to come close to FENTY), but hopefully fans aren't stupid enough to fall for it. Plus, the fact that the market is already sort of saturated with Kylie, previous celeb collabs with make up brands, etc. ought to stop any sort of click baity attempts to try and claim Gaga is coming for Fenty.

As said before I think they’re branding Haus Beauty as an unretouched / real woman party makeup. Similar to Glossier Play or Milk Makeup. You can tell from the skin texture that it’s been edited already, so the smears and glitter particles look purposeful.

Jeez... Complaining about Enigma, complaining about this.. Can y'all stop ? We've witnessed everything we wanted since ARTPOP, music and/or chart-wise, and for several months ! Give the woman a break. If she wants to do it and if she's happy about it, then I don't see why you'd come in here and complain about it. Music will come in due time, we're already saturated by plenty of releases by amazing artists.
And I find it funny that some of you are bothered by the fact that she's doing it for the money, but once her net worth will increase, you'll be the first ones sharing it on social medias...
As for the pics, they kind of remind me of TFM/BTW. I'll wait for the official pictures to give an honest opinion. She looks stunning tho.
