JusKeepBreathin 19,311
15-year-old girl in coma after teen allegedly rapes her, posts video of her naked on social media Jorge Martinez, 18, of Atlantic Beach has been charged with sexual battery, giving a controlled substance to a minor and making or publishing child ****ography. “Mr. Martinez provided drugs to a 15-year-old, sexually assaulted this 15-year-old, videotaped this and posted it on social media,” Miramar Police spokesperson Tania Rues said. “This is a tragic incident on so many levels. We have a 15-year-old victim that basically threw a party. She shared the invite on social media. Unfortunately, it got out of hand.” Police said the 15-year-old was without oxygen to her brain for about 28 minutes, went into organ failure and suffered internal bleeding. Those symptoms are consistent with a drug overdose, according to police. “The victim is currently in a coma in a location in Dade County in pediatric care,” Morretti said. “This is only pediatric due to her age. We are not sure she’s gonna make it or not.” https://wsvn.com/news/local/15-year-old-girl-in-coma-after-teen-allegedly-rapes-her-posts-video-of-her-naked-on-social-media/ Drugs are terrible. BUtterfield 8 41,833
I always laugh when someone does a horrible crime and posts it on social media as if it won’t be immediately seen by the authorities

geopang 4,831
Throw him in jail and throw the key away. Although I’d prefer public execution for a sick crime like this.

As a survivor of sexual assault, I see time and time again people go to great lengths to justify or deny what they do not see as sexual violence, even in cases where evidence is abundantly clear. There is nothing "alleged" about a teenage girl entering a coma after suffering a terrible tragedy, especially one well documented by the perpetrator. Shadow 6,704
Very sick and demented that people post their crimes on social media... At least it would be easier for authorities to catch such a perpetrator. However how traumatizing for the victim... Hope they get locked away for a long time. Stand in the light, cast your shadow. I agree it is very transparent that it was him, but there’s no point in making a big deal about the word “alleged” being used, when they have to use it due to legal reasons. I'm not trying to start a dispute with you or anyone on this site, and obviously the tragedy here is what she has gone through. Reading what had happened to her was like a punch in my gut. I only focus on that aspect because it matters the way we talk about these incidents, and discrediting language is used all the time in situations like these. My feelings about that have to do with more than just with this article since I see this tactic everywhere, but even still, such small changes in how we discuss these issues could do so much in the way of making survivors feel not so much like they are the ones on trial. I know it sucks, but don’t blame the source.
Quartz 12,763
You caused someone to be in a coma because you just can't control what's in your pants. She might die. Let that sink in a bit. Very deplorable. I hope the girl gets healed completely, and the boy learns and changes. Very sad. Inside, we are really made the same. 🕊
