A lesbian couple claims that they were kicked out of an Aly & AJ concert on Saturday night at Alameda County Fair in California for allegedly dancing together. According to the couple, the show took place during the Alameda County Fair's first LGBTQ-supporting Out at the Fair day.

if they were kissing, you can't automatically say he's homophobic. i know some people who don't like public displays of affection AT all.

but obviously if he saw straight people kissing and didn't say the same thing to them, then for sure he's homophobic.

if it's a pride event though, what did he expect?

Hmmmmm. I don't want to judge too quickly, but something here seems fabricated. Why are people booing if they're not stepping in to help? Are they booing the girls? Did the girls actually, maybe cause trouble?

That video doesn't really prove anything, and in this day and age, neither does their tweet.

i'm glad, you can't trust the internet anymore - people fabricate to cause drama/get some sort of online recognition. we can't be sure.

Stepping in to help... how? Block security? Get physically involved? What more could they have done to ‘help’ other than to boo security? Even then, isn’t it more likely that the crowd would cheer when the girls were escorted out if they were causing trouble? The crowd was booing WHEN they escorted the women out.

Also the last video clearly shows Aly and AJ confronting security. I’m sure the performers on stage would know the situation better than you do. What’s there to believe is fabricated?

I don’t get why y’all two here think it’s so impossible for homophobia against wlw to happen in 2019... have you seen the news lately?

yes, i have met some people who don't even like people holding hands. although they wouldn't say anything to anyone, some people would.

and ? are you implying that no-one should kiss or hold hands in public, because someone might feel uncomfortable ? furthermore, you think it is right to throw people out of concerts for kissing ?

I'm not saying I support this narrative of the story, since we cannot tell. But your argument is standing regardless.

How about you give a proper response and not troll the other user by copying and pasting your earlier comment you f*cking bitch?

see this is the problem with some people on this forum, you say one thing and people make 203872984 conclusions out of it. i am not implying people should not kiss, i am playing devils advocate and testing the strength of the story. people do make things up sometimes hence why things are investigated. do you walk into court and say 'that person was homophobic' and the judge goes 'oh okay well that's fine, we'll send them down for a month'. no,

How am I jumping to conclusions ? You made two arguments. One which I agreed with.

But you also said this: if they were kissing, you can't automatically say he's homophobic. i know some people who don't like public displays of affection AT all.

Does that sound to you, like a defense for kicking someone out for kissing, or not ? I couldn't see another way to read this. Enlighten me if so.

Yikes, this is incredibly disheartening. Especially since this happened at the Alameda County Fair. I love the Bay Area, especially East Bay, and wouldn't want this from the fair, especially.

3 points in and ready for more

i said that because maybe he chucked them out for another reason, in which we don't the full story? maybe this guy was a grumpy old man and chucked them out for the kissing because he doesn't like PDA? there's a thousand reasons, we can't just assume it's that one.

i'm gay myself and i understand the struggle. if i got kicked out, i would probably think it's because of my sexuality too if i was kissing etc - but can we really believe stories on the internet 100 percent? we need at least a few more details to make a conclusion.
