Blah blah blah blah....

So much hate and let me summarise the hate for you:

"I'm not a stan. I have higher standards than all of you, hence my opinion is more valid. Costumes are tacky, choreo is old, Gaga is awful for my standards."

*constructive criticism*

And no I don't think Taylor

Um as someone who went to the Reputation Stadium Tour in Miami I can say that it was a damn good shows. Her vocals were ON POINT and outfits where incredible. The 3 stages made it feel like she was truly connected with her fans. And the props were AMAZING! The huge snake was breathtaking and the throne and fountain were so beautiful. And the pyro, even from far u could feel right on your face. It truly did represent what a good pop show is.

I quite honestly haven't watched it yet :air: Which is why I posted what I did. I have my own examples for a good pop show and they weren't the ones that member suggested.

But good to know it was exellent, I might check it out then

Lord Temptation

After reading this thread all I can say is that I am so happy Gaga won the GP back. Now we can share our love and admiration for Gaga openly with the world. She did THAT.

It is genuinely my opinion, though, that most LMs let her off too easily, and actively lower their standards to be satisfied with what Gaga does. I don't just say that based on my own disliking of Gaga's recent output but also because I see how harsh and critical they can be about other artists while not applying those standards of judgment to their own fav :emma: Probably typical stan behavior but I never had that with my favs.

Well, that's being a fan vs being a critic.   We always give people we like a larger margin of error, or the benefit of the doubt.   Critics are supposed to be "objective" irrespective of their fan status.   Critics are not necessarily better than fans, or vice versa, but if fans are able to enjoy an artists work, in spite of problems they could find if they switched into "critic" mode, then I'd say they have an advantage over the critics in real life, because they get to enjoy something critics don't, even if the critic thinks their standards are "low."  Sometimes high standards and critic thinking mean that your critic voice overwhelmed your fan voice and doesn't even allow you to enjoy the parts of the show you like.

Where that becomes a mess in particular is in Stan-world, where fans become harsh critics of other artists and can't see their own hypocrisy.  One of many reasons not to participate in Stan-wars, as it essentially automatically makes one a hypocrite.  When Gaga announced Vegas, many a Stan was caught by their own "has been" criticisms of other artists that had Vegas residencies.   I actually find it satisfying that Gaga Stans were bitten by their own Stan-war rhetoric.   I'm convinced 75% of the anti-Enigma, anti-Vegas hate stems simply from Stans caught in their own bullets.

Mister G

Because it’s a very good show with great energy. Gaga looks happy. She probably feels great. Somehow that’s not enough for her little managers...but it’s a good show :ally:

AMEN!! The b**** looks happy on stage and her energy is phenomenal. For me, the energy I witness reminded me of The Monster Ball and artRave days. Joanne was toned down for evident reasons given the album, etc.

I guess if Gaga is happy and having a good time that’s not enough for some people.
