How do you explain the success of the Potter books with the LGBT community? There's a thing called symbolism, but of course I wouldn't expect social media people to understand what's not right in front of their noses.

You can't argue with the fact Potter has had particular success with kids who felt they didn't fit in, so that's precisely my point: I personally didn't need a blatant LGBT representation in those books to resonate with them. In spite of it, I believe it made Rowling's stance about all forms of bigotry pretty clear. I'm not sure what fight you're trying to fight here. She has clearly not made her opinion on transgender rights clear. Unless she has, and I have missed it? Do you have quotes showing her thoughts on transgender rights? Eros92 2,513
http://www.mtv.com/news/2171240/jk-rowling-lgbt-support/ There's been no word by JK of this situation and everything more or less just speculation. I follow people and while I don't agree with all their stuff there are some stuff I like. I mean in real life I'm friends with right wing republicans and Trump supporters. That make me a racist, xenophobic and internalized homophobe? No it doesn't
