Survey Indicates Decline in LGBTQ Acceptance Among Young Americans

I think it’s because “LGBT” is now almost exclusively tied to “liberals” and “Democrats,” so naturally as the political climate in the US becomes more and more tribal, one group will increasingly hate every aspect of the other side. 

Many teens right now are growing up in a time where someone like Trump can do anything and receives no real consequences. Hateful views are more accepted now than they were in the recent years before.

What if some of those people were trolling?  

It wouldn't surprise me if some right wing group somehow got a hold of it and trolled the results. 

But something tells me this isn't young people trolling the survey.

I think that's going to change now though. Diana Ross Madonna & Lady Gaga had a huge impact during their careers on LGBTQ+. 

But I think there are alot of artists that will come forward like Taylor, Katy have this year influenced by Gaga and even still Gaga to shed more light on the LGBTQ+. 

I am still waiting for a straight male artist to really embrace the LGBTQ+ without fear. I think Nick Jonas has but I really need some bigger or with more influence to do it. I keep hoping Justin Bieber will do before is popularity wanes. I'm not a huge fan of his but he is a huge star with alot of influence.

I saw this comment in an article: 

You beat people over the head over any issue and you get fatigue. And when you gain ground, acceptance of gay/lesbian/bi/trans orientation and then you say that’s not enough. We’re angry that you don’t understand the 20+ other varieties that also exist with regard to sexuality, people say “enough” and back away in frustration.

Sexualty is personal and private. Not everyone wants to talk about it all the time. And people who define themselves primarily by their sexual preference are one dimensional, shallow and vacuous. Be whatever you are, but stop sticking in my face 24-7. Try living by that rule.

I think this encompasses how a lot of people in the middle are beginning to feel. In addition, in every thread on various news sites/ Twitter/ etc. involving "trans kids" or "drag kids" you will see a LOT of hostile comments from various people. I think this is only going to get worse.

I don't think was just a random internet poll though so I'm not sure how anyone could troll it.

Only 45% of Americans aged 18 to 34 are comfortable interacting with LGBTQ people??! Glad it's not like that in the UK!!!

Dan Reynolds documentary "Believer" on LGBT Mormons available on HBO.

He's been advocating for LGBT acceptance in the Mormon community for a while now.

Well, their true color jumped out. There are two options, talk to them and see what's not clicking with them, or don't bother and just outright disown them all if you know one, hunties
