That's my point here,  high taxes doesn't help poor people stop being poor...rich still get richer....an obvious fundamental that AOC seems to overlook.

That’s why Trump made a trillion dollar tax gap for the rich. Capitalism is not our friend either. We need a much smarter argument. Taxes are fine. But what are people going to do to help the poor and middle class? Yes let’s blame AOC who has nothing to do with California.. people need to stop using her as the Dem Trump. It’s a poor excuse.

I didn't address the Conservative approach …

lower corp. and capital gains help investors (who already) have money .. theory was to stimulate investment and create jobs...  but yeah … that's not really working very well either....

And A O C has everything to do with C A .  policy wise anyway

Hopefully it'll make people think twice before buying those monster cars with huge oil consumption that America is worshipping for some reasons

Isn't oil quite cheap in the US btw?

I don't think California is a state many ppl drive monster cars in and I doubt gas is cheap there

California has a lot of green innitiatives and I believe a carbon tax and cap and trade

It's probably one of the states with the highest gas taxes

Also I've been to the US. The cars didn't look any bigger than in Canada

Ewew... didn't know that

Ya, it's getting worse as of late. Thankfully we at least got BART Watch app.  Where we can report anything that happened and handled immediately.

Found one guy actually doing lines inside one car, and I reported it, and on the next station that person was taken away by the security.

The bad experience stays tho.

Hope BART did something quickly or less and less people willing to use their service anymore.

Actually, this isn't a bad thing. The question is, WHAT will that revenue be funnelled into? Americans do not understand that they have some of the cheapest gas in the world. If they put that gas tax into providing homeless shelters and support , I could really support this. I was DISGUSTED that the times I've been to San Fran I saw literally swathes of homeless people down every street? How is that normal in the richest country in the world? WHY is nothing being done to help them? How are people being forced into these shitty conditions in a state that's practically the 6th largest world economy on its own?
