No but he's done stuff to create uncertainty and reduce investment

His trade wars are having a measurable impact on the cost of certain things impoverishing consumers and raising costs of home builders and things like shale crackers

He's not that smart with the economy

Then he has the nerve to call it the best economy ever but keeps criticizing the fed for keeping rates "too high"...

Like if the economy was so perfect it wouldn't need still historically low rates of 2.5% to sustain it. He sounds like a fool to anyone that understands economics even a little bit

Oh I definitley agree with you. But it ain't entirely his fault. He just  had no clue how to deal with it. Lmao.

Does this mean my student loan interest is recessing lol

Well I don't know how US send debt works in the US but the cost of loans in general are influenced by bonds

So your rates on student loan if it's from bank could drop slightly

I couldn't tell u for sure without knowing the structure of it better tho

Economy will never become sustainable as long as rates are this low constantly

Low rates keep the money supply circulating but stresses the bank reserves...credit isn't a very solid guarentee.

like a cat in a sil, I observe life, moving and still. My words give a clue, look inside to see whats true

I'm saying rates chronically low encourage too much borrowing and debt and also keeps zombie companies Alive

It allows poor investments to survive longer and take up resources

With the deficits being as high as they are the economy should be on fire with higher rates

But it isn't

Let's just see if this will do anything and what happens. In this day and age I have got nothing to lose. Lmao. No house, no car, no debt thank God. Just my family and friends. So I'm lowkey hoping it crashes hard in the next 10 years lmao. Especially Canadian real estate 😭😭💀

It's gonna be difficult for Canadian Real estate to crash hard anytime soon

Unlike the US bubble which was largely speculation and demand brought forward with incentives from government...

In Canada there's a legit shortage of houses even as population grows fast and vacancies are at all time lows

Prices can fall a bit if there's a recession that lowers incomes and some ppl become unemployed...

But prices can't fall much due to supply and demand

Thanks for explaining. A lot of foreigners buy real estate here in Vancouver. Though I dont think they are the sole purpose for why it's become so high. Housing is definitley being built around here as I have been seeing houses torn down for apartment complexes. Commercial real estate though hasnt been doing well and that just gives me an indication that whatever population needs all this housing, clearly doesnt need commercial lots. I also think there is a sufficient amount of jobs over here. It's not hard to find one and I feel like if the population was surging, there would be a limited number of jobs opportunities. So really wondering what is happening with houses being bought.  That's all I know, I dont know everything. I dont think it will crash for a while either , but I'm just hoping it will in the next decade so i can take advantage of it.... lol!

I know foreigners buy some although that has a bigger impact on prices if they don't rent it out

Also foreigners buy property all over the world.

I know the vacancies are very low in Canada so regardless of foreigners, the spaces are being used and there's not enough supply
