My Experience: Gaga Vegas

I'm fresh off the plane, jet lagged, and need to share some thoughts on Gaga Vegas.

I know we've seen several of these threads, and this is a very touchy subject for a lot of you, but I wanted to share my experiences and hopefully provide some insight or tips if you want to go. When it was originally announced, I honestly rolled my eyes, thought it seemed so bizarre and made her look washed up or uncool. Having taken two separate trips now to see both Enigma and Jazz & Piano (as well as Brian's set with her last night) I can safely say it's my favorite Gaga experience to date.

I first want to start off by saying that I completely realize trekking to her in Vegas can be an outrageously expensive event. Especially if you're outside the US, we're talking thousands of dollars to get to Vegas, book a hotel, and then the ticket costs on top of that. That being said, the Park MGM is pretty damn affordable if you schedule it right (I had a $78/night room) and the ease of walking down to the shows is unmatched. If you want to splurge a bit, the Nomad within the Park MGM is absolutely gorgeous and super luxe.

My other tip is to show up without tickets if Ticketmaster/Stubhub prices are crazy expensive. My friend bought an Enigma ticket day of for face value at the box office, and then a Jazz & Piano ticket day of as well. Basically, Gaga, the band, the dancers, etc. all have a set number of tickets for these shows each night to distribute, and if they don't, the tickets are sold by the box office right next to the Park Theatre. Likely, you can score a ticket for face value right up to showtime.

What makes the cost/effort of going to Gaga Vegas for me is the atmosphere and the energy of the whole thing. You're literally staying in Little Monster Mecca for several days, constantly surrounded by her music, merch, live shows, the Haus museum, Gaga-themed after parties, specialty Enigma-tinis, etc. I was running around the place for three days in insane outfits and Enigma merch having the actual time of my life. Like, the amount of fans I have interacted with was crazy, and it's a different energy than any other Gaga show because it's an all day and night experience. I saw/chatted/hung out/drank with quite a few members of the Haus, Cynthia, Brian and his band, and was constantly around her team as well. Where else can you be posted up at the casino bar at 4am surrounded by Gaga fans, and her own friends and team?

Beyond that, the shows themselves are truly great. The smaller venue makes it feel so so so intimate, esp. for Enigma, and even if you barely queue for GA, you're going to have an awesome view and be super close to her. The setlist is just....crazy to hear live, and the robot segment is hands-down a top 3 live performance moment of hers. It's just so insane to witness.

It's easy to discredit the whole thing if you haven't experienced it, because being immersed in Gaga Vegas is something you have to be there to feel. I completely feel the financial strain of it, and had to pull some strings and use some miles to get there. I will say, if you're considering, have the financial means and time to go, I have no doubt that any big Gaga fan would have an incredible time.

Anyway, drag me, but it's easily the best and most immersive Gaga experience to date. :vegas:

Omg so happy for you I’m glad that you enjoyed it! The mechanical robot part looked so cool based off videos I saw and I agree, as far as shows she has done Enigma is in the top percentage. It’s great knowing it was worth spending every penny on something that makes you happy, hope you got home safely!

Why do we need to drag you for taste? :vegas: Enigma is easily one of Gaga's best shows. It's even exceeded some of her tours for me.

All the critics who made the effort to attend the show in person have acclaimed it. These are people who know you can't judge a performance through Periscope videos.

Go off!

Like sorry, but this is something unlike anything she's done before. So to sit on GagaDaily and rip it to shreds based off of Instagram-quality footage is just foolish.

Absolutely. None of her tours could compete with Enigma, visually. It honestly felt like you were in a science-fiction universe.

Yeah the Park playing Gaga music all day was unreal for me because that’s the most celebration of Gaga I’ve been exposed to in my life.  Poor SEAsia me.

I couldn’t have said it better! Everything you described is to a T.

It’s definitely fan Mecca at this point for HAUS of Gaga.

I have to say that’s my fave part of the show as well, and it’s just great!

I would recommend Early Entry for short folks like me though. I couldn’t really see some parts on like 4th row and ended up watching all of Edge of Glory on someone’s phone screen haha!

But I got to talk to Sarah again and meet many of the HAUS and chat with them a little bit. They’re so nice even being surrounded by fans of their boss and friend lol who can get crazy invasive at times!

I just loved how Gaga got to go to Brian’s show and not be hassled too much like she does exiting the park, she got to hang out with friends and family and just drink, party and sing. It is also a treat for the patrons to Brian’s show!

I can’t even begin to tell you how right this is! The energy of the whole park mgm was insane the whole weekend. I felt like I was staying in Gaga’s hotel. Seeing her haus and dancers around everyday! The Gaga music playing in the casino, Gaga shirts left and right! I saw a bunch of my fave drag queens! You’re surrounded by people who love the same person and love each other! Every little monster I met left an impression! I left my weekend feeling so so fulfilled! I literally can’t wait to go back! And I mean the shows were unbelievable as well! You won’t get a better, intimate venue! I went not thinking I could love her more and left with so much more love for her!

Thanks so much for sharing. Now that it's been extended my husband and I are seriously considering saving up and going. it's a lot for us because we'd be coming from East Coast Canada. I have only been able to see her in Montreal back during Art Rave since the Joanne stuff got cancelled. We are honestly thinking if we're gonna go we might as well go big and try for VIP tickets.

How do you know it’s been extended?

WORLDofGAGA

Glad you had a great time, sounds like Gaga Heaven lol. So interesting to see how people like it even more seeing it in person or opinions being changed from bad to good after seeing it in real life. Hoping one day I will be able to go.
