Gaga doesn't owe us anything!

Hi :awkney:

So, I've seen many threads about it, and even though I participated in some, I stopped for a moment to think and realize...

She doesn't owe us anything.

[This is a very extensive post, so...]

She's been there for us with her music once, but that's all. We were able to connect once, but that's all. She's an artist, an entertainer, not our friend. She's not entitled to do anything to please us. She has millions of fans around the world, she can't focus on what every single one of us say.

Of course I don't think she hates us, I don't think she doesn't care about us anymore. She just cares as much as an thankful person would care. She doesn't owe us anything.

I understand the frustration, cause I'm frustrated as well. Back when Born This Way was released, I was able to connect and come out as the real me. It felt right. Gaga gave me hope, made me think it would all be alright. That I needed to stop trying to fix myself, because I wasn't broken. And I'm eternally grateful for that.

And I showed her my support. We all did. But, we all did because it felt right, not because someone pointed a gun to us and made us do so.

I understand the frustration, because I'm frustrated I won't get to see one of the major talented artists, in the world, perform. And even though Gaga means the world to me, I understand she's not my friend. She's just an artist, an amazing one, yes. But she's just a human being. Just like everybody else.

She has feelings, she's free to fail, to succeed. And I've realized sometimes, we come across and forget that. We cross a line where we think just because we can have opinions, we must give them at any cost. Without consider how our words must affect someone, only excusing us with "(s)he's famous, (s)he knew what (s)he was getting in to" 😐

I understand why Gaga won't be online that much anymore. And it's not because she hates us, although she might not feel the same connection anymore, she's also older now. She has grown up. She has to focus on her personal life as well, and I could obviously tell she wouldn't want to get online to see people constantly bashing her... She needs a break. Like many of us do at some point.

And that's... Alright.

Gaga has come to a point where she really doesn't have to give a single **** about what the world says. She's a grown ass woman who knows, or sometimes thinks she knows, what she's doing. And that's okay. She is free to do what she loves to do, and as long as people buys her tickets, or her music, she will continue to do so.

She might say she loves to do art, and not the money she gets from doing it, and yeah, that can be true. But this is the real world. We're not kids nor stupid, we understand how the world works. She obviously NEEDS the money in order to continue creating her art, she can't do it without a found. And that's what ENIGMA right now is.

Her team literally has to be there for her, to look up for her and her career. They need to be there for Gaga's both mental and physical health AND her career! Because that is their god damn job. And right now Las Vegas is doing wonders for them, even if we don't like it, that's the true. That's a fact.

But I won't talk about the industry, cause I'm still learning how it works. I'm talking about the fact... we need to start remembering that even though she's a goddess, Gaga is not God. She's a human being.

With that said, I feel I must apologize if I've ever been a jerk. Sometimes frustration on our personal life gets into our head and we end up saying things we don't want to as collateral damage...

Right now, I think we all need to take a break. I am taking it. I will continue visiting this forum, because that's how I inform myself about the media world, but I seriously need to start looking up for myself as much as Gaga is doing so right now. I hope you can forgive me and we can start from the beginning

it's completely normal for fans to be impatient for their fave to release something

Of course she owe us. That's just ridiculous to say. She won't be at where she is right now without her fans and she knows that. Because she keeps mentioning and thanking her fans every chance she got.

That doesn't mean we're entitled to request whatever we feel we what from her, but in the end she does owe it to us. Being her fans is frustrating sometimes, but we still stick around.

Of course it is normal but if she do not give what someone needs, all he can do is just not being a fan of her.

I'm not sure it is a valid example but it's not that we insult cook when taste of food is not for customer's taste... (and we don't even pay to be a fan)

Without fans - she wouldn’t have been where she is today.

Fans make people famous.

Famous people owe fans.

Common sense.

The only thing she owe us as a singer, is music and she's delivering, so  we had ASIB like not even a year ago.

She doesn't owe anything to us. She's putting products out there (be it music, concert, film or whatever) and you decide to consume them or not depending on your liking.

Why the hell would she owe you something for buying a commercial good ? :toofunny: Does McDonald owe you something because you deliberately go there to buy a freaking bigmac ? :toofunny:

At the end of the day she decides what kind of product she wants to make. If people like it, they buy it. If they don't like it they don't buy it. That's where the importance of the balance between what SHE wants and what FANS want is taking place. But that's her choice to weigth one more than the other and  accept the consequences

PS: Thanking us is just being grateful, not admitting she owes something

I mean I kind of see where you're coming from, but not really. Any tickets we bought or music we paid for has already been delivered. It's not like we did her a favour or anything. So no she really doesn't owe us anything.

However as an international pop artist/entertainer she is boring af right now:reductive:  As I said she owes us nothing, but I would just think as an artist and fashion lover she would enjoy sharing art, thoughts and lewks with the world? Idk.

With all these Jazz show shenanigans with Brian she is accidentally becoming a meme queen though. So I guess she's delivering some form of entertainment:tony:

I'm pretty sure she and her team are happy about it (contrary to all of you think). I mean who could be pissed to see anticipation and excitement for what you have to tell on your next record.

A lot of ex-big artists would love that attention tbh. Especially when nobody care about what you do anymore. I won't give names (I don't want my umpteenth WP )

She owes me 100 dollars from my JWT date that I couldn't get a refund from. :stalkga:

I agree with you in general. She owes us only music and a show when we pay for it. But it makes me quiet sad that she distanced herself from us and let that connection to happen only during her show... Her deep connection and relationship friend-friend with fans was what made the difference between her and other artists. I still connected with her and I doubt I’ll ever loose it.

Also I think she kinda understands that it’s her who let her fans to come too close.

Many fans are wilding, hating, angering ... that’s because they miss her and she doesn’t talk to us. But it’s like a circle : she’s silent- fans feel less connection - fans hating- Gaga doesn’t like - she’s silent

But honestly, I think we have to wait till new era. Hope she’ll be ready to communicate with us and share her art and her thoughts and a little bit of her life.

yes but we all know fame can come and go, the artists who survive this experience are the one with true skills and true passion, enough true fans will follow then.

What you mean says she shall please us and drop **** music every two years like many do. but that invalidates the term artist. Artists are explorers that share their discoveries from the invisible world they're not supposed to be predictable, regular, comfortable or pleasing.

hello hello baby.
