It's too bad Britney has the worst single releases ever

Blackout didn't stand a chance to be promoted more because of the time period.  Ironically if she had her sh*t together then the album would have been different because of interference (From Larry Rudolph if he was her manager) etc...  But it remains a  brilliant selection of producers about what they thought of Britney's life from the opening to last track.

But for In the Zone specifically, one of her two best albums with Blackout (Followed by Circus, Britney and Glory in whichever order.)

If Britney really did have a radio ban on her until 2003, then it was probably a good thing Toxic wasn't the lead single.  But after Toxic and Everytime, that 'interference' made Outrageous a single where she proceeded to re-injure her knee shooting its music video, announce her engagement  to a back-up dancer and then 2005, 2006, 2007 etc... happened. (But then again Blackout doesn't happen without all these things, maybe 'Original Doll' does happen but its water under the bridge.)

Obviously Breathe on Me, Touch of My Hand and The Hook Up following Toxic and Everytime as singles would have far,far elevated the album (and her image) given that the public was in fact growing tired of her  by 2004.
