I get your point, and when I came out it was my case too, but it is a fact the we need more LGBT+ representation in the media to encourage more kids to come into terms with their identity (I don't know I worded this correctly, apologizes if not) Big part of lgbtphobia it's not caused only because of religion but also because of ignorance and lack of representation, so I do agree with his statement. I know we finally are getting somewhere when it comes to representation but that's pretty recent and there still is a lot of ridiculization and stigmatization when it comes to LGBT+ figures (or at least that's what it seems in the enviroment I'm living) and that definitely has to change. Also,as a side note, Gaga herself is LGBT+ representation, even tho media tends to ignore or erase that. "YOU USED TO BE SO KIND, I NEVER KNEW YOU HAD SUCH A DIRRTY MIND".
