I worked in furniture. It depends on where it's constructed. Sometimes American consumers buy furniture because it's says made in Italy, but the truth is it's components are from China and then assembled in Italy with Italian design aesthetics. The bed sells for $3000. Which is still expensive but if your were to buy a bed that was actually all made in Italy it would be $6000 or more. 

 

Remember the source on that article is Vietnamese state run media

A large percentage of private owned companies  in China *especially huwaei* also happen to hold  high ranking *official state office*  positions.. 

Separation of private and state business is pretty thin..

The article was from a vietnamese source without much in detsils....but stands to reason there is some validity  since vietnamese leadership and Chinese are really that cosey
