TLK looks like it's not going to have legs. Coming for big opening numbers and die off pretty fast

Has any review mentioned Bey's rendition of Can You Feel the Love Tonight?

Oh wow.
I love that Warner let critics post their reviews after the premiere in Venice and ASIB was certified FRESH before the movie was released :diane:

Disney knew it would receive negative reviews, hence the review embargo. Aladdin's embargo was only lifted two days before its theatrical release.

Yeah, the movie is still gonna smash hard, fresh or rotten cause bad reviews didn't stop many movies from grossing a lot. Venom is the recent one that comes to my mind for example

yes, its bad

“Alissa Wilkinson (Vox)
“And there’s enough to The Lion King to recommend it as a pleasant summer diversion: The action is legitimately tense, the sunsets are beautiful, and while some of the most prominent voice actors feel like they’re just reading their lines(including, unfortunately, Beyoncé), some of the voice acting - from Rogen, Eichner, and Ejiofor in particular - is great.”

“As Nala, Beyonce suffers a similar fate. The talking lion might look realistic, but when we hear her dialogue, all we see is Beyonce in a recording booth, reading lines.” – Vulture.

“Glover and Beyoncé’s duet of “Can You Feel the Love Tonight” is, as a piece of audio, utterly glorious, and yet it has little impact onscreen (where, for some reason, it’s performed in total daylight), because neither Simba nor Nala has come through as an engaging character. “

Variety: “Beyoncé also contributes a largely unnecessary, but exhilarating new single, “Spirit,” over the couple’s return to the Pride Lands, which Mufasa’s scheming brother Scar (Chiwetel Ejiofor) has turned into a barren desert.”

I'm surprised the Hive hasn't started a "critics are racist" campaign yet

OT: since sales are often chart related
"But industry sources said that Haus Laboratories is likely to be the biggest celebrity makeup launch since the LVMH-backed Fenty, which did 500 million euros in its first year. Industry sources estimated that Haus could pull in $75 million in sales in its first full year, noting that the start-up doesn’t have the retail resources of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton, which also owns Sephora." - from WWD

it will be interesting to see if the brand can exceed expectations
