Opinions on Panic! At The Disco?

A Fever You Can't Sweat Out was definitely a defining album for me when I was a teen. I haven't found any real connection with Panic, or Brendon, since then, but that album is 10/10.

I think they are talented. Brandon is charismatic. I love LA Devotee but don't really listen to them.

I’ve only listened to a couple of songs back from 2006-2008 so don’t really know much about them. Not my cup of tea I think.

I adore them/him to death but he 100% sold out with PFTW. It didnt feel like authentic Panic! to me, but it still front to back slaps.

I used to love them, their/his more mature sound, Death of a Bachelor is one of my favourite albums of all time, also I listened to all of their discography. However, I'm one of those who dislike Brendon going totally mainstream; I'm happy he gets a lot of success now because he's really talented and Pray for the Wicked does has some highlights (even though coming off after the sound of DoaB I find it really underwhelming). I low key feel he's selling out. Nonetheless I still support him and consume lots of songs from the band (mostly from his back catalogue).

I love “them” tbh, they’re really great and enjoyable in terms of their music. My emo friend just got me into them last year.

They made some good music, but I never listen to them religiously. My bands of choice for emo were and will always be MCR, Billy Talent, and The Used.

Billy talent

I have the exact same opinion. PFTW feels like a Brendon Urie album, not Panic!. I'd adore for them to go back to the sound of Fever but now that I Write Sins is the only Fever song he performs, it's unlikely

Hm, album-wise, their first 3-4 (Pretty.Odd is my favorite).

Song-wise: Lying is the Most Fun..., Nine in the Afternoon, I Write Sins Not, Tragedies, Ballad of Mona Lisa, She's a Handsome Woman, The Green Gentleman, This is Gospel, New Perspective)

Thanks for the thread -- has me revisiting them :rockstar:

I love Panic!, it's one of my favoutire artists/bands ( :ohwell: ) of all time :nooo: Pretty. Odd. and Death Of Bachelor are my favourite albums, but I think each one is very unique and deserves recognition (definitely don't think the same about Pray For The Wicked, I like the album, but it's the weakest of the discography :reductive:)

Oh it's no problem :)

When I saw your list I thought I was reading my own, the early albums are such iconic, creative pieces of work

I used to be a huge stan, specially on the V&V era, but nowadays can't say the same though

but it's not about going mainstream or too pop or that kinda thing, I can't stand Brendon anymore, he is so fake and arrogant, I mean he's the reason why it's a one man band now

... and now i just sit in silence.
