And how is that supposed to be accomplished if not by instating laws and policies that protect people in a situation Carlos found himself in? Do you think we should just let that be and allow these sh*tbags to use their platform to antagonise their viewers against people who haven't touched them and don't deserve the kind of response they get? And the whole 'free speech is what allows us to counter people like this', as nice a sentiment as it is, it's juts not the reality we live in - plenty of people have tried to reason with these a$$holes, it seldom works - changing cultural perception takes time, meanwhile this behavior continues to have an effect, and I highly doubt people like Crowder receive even a fraction of the kind of response Carlos did for it...

Sorry, but people who are gay, or anyone for that matter, shouldn't have to put up with this kind of behavior while the cultural perception changes, when there are ways to make sure this doesn't happen to them...


Also labelling hate-speech laws as dictatorship laws is... kinda dishonest... Like, you hear 'dictatorship' and you think ooooo, bad, scary... but you really have to isolate these things and look at the effect - there are thing even the worst of regimes got right...

You dont attack him by using corporate power monopoly to do it because eventually they will use this to censor everyone. These companies are government influenced and protected and controlled by the military industrial complex and wall street. They can eventually censor people exposing wars and government and they will find a way to convince people like you to support them.

Social Media is a government protected monopoly that has become the public sphere and so we should use the constitution laws in these situation to protect our freedom.

Public figures get called horrible things 24 hours and nobody complains. The VOX guy is a public figure that is involved in internet politics. He is doing this because he works for a corporate media that wants to control the internet.

Im sorry but restricting speech is dictatorship, if you agree with some dictatorship laws thats fine but just know that it is dictatorship. I live in a country where we dont have free speech so im surprised when I see Americans wanting to be like us.
