LadariousGarage 1
It depends on the song I agree, some performances of shallow she sounds a bit strained But thats prob because she just was singing and dancing and all that sh*t, and then sings a pretty vocally challenging song but honestly she doesn't sound terrible, she still sounds better at her worst than most singers at their best on the monster ball she sounded 10x more strained Some songs on the artrave she sounded a bit strained as well Lets do it baby I know the Law

Taylorrgh 679
I said the same thing awhile back. Gaga is a fantastic singer but she does not have fantastic technique proven by her constantly raising her larynx in the 5th octave. Wonderful singer but not a vocalist

Vocalists are usually classically trained with an array of different vocal stylings, support and resonance.

AJRocketMan 2,684
People should just STOP using as an excuse. She’s only in her early 30’s, not her early 50’s. When you listen to her speaking voice (“There’s cell phones in the future? That’s bullshit!” LMAO!!!) and then listen to her singing voice you can tell so easily that she is manipulating her tone to sound huskier than it naturally is. Here is her at the final Born This Way Ball in February 2013. She was one months away from turning 27 at the time: And here is her on the first date of Enigma. 32 years old. Not even six years later, and yet she sounds so much more matronly in the second video, compared to the first where she sounds like a woman her age. And she has far more ease in the high notes in the first vid than she does in the second. Both her tone and her technique have suffered, and she is vocally declining. I really wanted to believe it was a phase at first, but it’s been nearly six months and only slight progress (she has gotten a little better). Age isn’t an excuse when you’re 33. I'm sorry but you can hear that she's forming her sound in almost the exact same way in these videos, her technique hasn't got worse she's not an inconsistent amateur. Tonally there's almost nothing different. The problem is that her technique hasn't got worse, it's stayed worse. She's used damaging techniques for years, what monsters are starting to hear is the damage it's caused. She's pushed harder to compensate for that decline for a few years(me and a friend were talking about this clear back in 2017 and got laughed at ) and it wasn't noticeable until now. She's in her mid-thirties and her tone should be darker than it was when she recorded The Edge Of Glory when she was 25 and the combination of that, the horrible technique, and the vocal damage is what you're hearing here. When she's singing songs without that screaming and tension in her sound she's known for, she still has the potential to sound beautiful and far better than any of her peers. Wonderful singer but not a vocalist She's literally regarded as one of the best technical singers in our generation, idk where you get off on saying that. And of course she's gonna raise her larynx in the 5th octave, she's a mezzo and it's pop music. It's not that deep.
joannesrats 26
It's this song. Telephone has never been the best song of hers live. Here's her doing DITD, a song better suited to her range. She's literally being carried and bent and she sounds better than Telephone, y'all just love being dramatic. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ueQs8_9uHHc

TeenIdle 123,931
Lol it's Telephone.. her most demanding choreography, a song that doesn't show any vocal abilities, a song Gaga doesn't care about so she's not putting effort. She usually uses backtrack for that one so I'm actually pleasantly surprised she sang that much I don't see a problem in the TEOG performances posted above.. 𝖓𝖊𝖜 𝖗𝖊𝖑𝖎𝖌𝖎𝖔𝖓
