Twitter 14
That’s a good question. My guess is since she switched genres her music became more relatable than her country hits. Maybe she’s the Britney of the younger generation.
Smother Em Eh 7,142
I personally don't understand why sooo many people adore her to the extent that they do. I find her a boring Artist and her music to be quite generic and could be sung by anyone, but it's the relatable songs that ties people in. Also the fact that she actually writes her own songs, that says a lot in an industry where many other people have songs written for them. Get Applause & G.U.Y to 1B views! ice bear 1
i became a swiftie during the RED era and for me her appeal are the melodies, even over songwritting that she is the most acclaimed for. she could as well be singing about algebra with the hooks of i knew you were trouble or long live that i'd be singing my guts out (still, the spelling is fun line is homophobic ) ice heard one side from above
2School4Cool 6,457
I think it’s because she’s both an amazing songwriter and a likeable person. Though there are exceptions, most of the biggest artists out there are incredibly talented as well as being incredibly likable (Taylor, Adele, Ed Sheeran, etc. are all talented as well as lovable people that the public will want to support). She’s a sweetheart with charming personality, and that appeals to people. Plus, she mastered her craft at a young age, crossed genres and pulled it off flawlessly, is always creative and doing something new, making the fan experience fun for people (like with her use of easter eggs). Plus, whenever she releases something, she does a great job making it something that people will notice (bold videos, great marketing of her singles, etc.). At the end of the day I think people recognize raw talent, and once you’ve been around for long enough and have consistent success, more people will want to check out her music because they have faith that it will be quality.
