Yeah. Try some Kendrick Lamar, early Jay-Z and 2Pac. Rap doesn't necessarily equate having an ego and hating on everything and everyone.

okay but every one of them has egotistical, money-bragging, drug glamorizing and for lack of a better term sexually objectifying songs too

but when a woman does it it’s tired lol

and does it make it okay? does egotistical, money-bragging, glamorising and sexually objectifying songs make anything but a messed-up way of doing rap? no.

please do not make this a double standards dialectic, ‘cause that’s you assuming i was meaning to imply that because she’s a woman she can’t do whatever she wants with her music, body and mind. which i don’t think and never stated anywhere.

i could’ve easily named Missy Elliott, Lauryn Hill or M.I.A as examples of rappers who contributed and still contribute to promote proper social changes.

being fond of her, in whom i see potential, i was just making a remark on how tired i am of hate and entitled culture, which she and many other female and male rappers in some way or another contribute on spreading. that’s all.

Really like it, she went for the jugular. But would've preferred it to be longer. With this short length, is it even a proper lead single? That cover art is a serve, however.

It is very short for a single, sounds more like promo or preview of an album but who knows, maybe they're going for the replay value and gets more streaming this way. Reminds me a little bit of Azealia Banks' Chi Chi or even Heavy Metal and Reflective, catchy instrumental and short, straight to the point.
