What a strange talent, remembering the exactย chart positions of viral pop hits from several years ago

I can tell you exactly that One More Night by Maroon 5 was the song that blocked it from going #1ย :air:

Me! is a hit but a very frontloaded one. It had hype from the previous era, a bigย and devotedย fandomย ready to buy and leave it on repeat, all the promo possible from vinyls to TV performances to spotify promo and radio deal, a trendy feature (High Hopes just became Panic! at the disco biggest song, it made their fanbase check the song too), a music video designed to pander to kids and a safe sound ใ€‹ good opening numbers

The song however didn't resonate with the public ใ€‹ it started to fall off

There are a lot of ways you could put it in a good light. But more to put in in a bad one.
