But as much as it pains me to say it, the song was extremely front loaded and once the promo stopped the song started free falling. So yeah it could have been #1 but it’s not a huge hit either I agree. She could have chosen another song to serve as lead, since her leads always have a more explosive statement than the simple self-love statement of ME! , its part of the Taylor Swift is back appeal that's just missing with ME! , also I wish she stuck to her August schedule because it always worked for her and that's when everybody expects her as opposed to the surprise release of ME! It would have even marked 2 years since LWYMD , April was too early for her I feel.

Not massive but did well on radio. Although applause was more spread out while me was more front loaded as i said

To whom? Que sera sera. It means she's still a big player in the music industry when we look at modern successful/popular artists you don't discount someone if they are a threat, you keep your eyes on them (since some GGD have been discounting Taylor Swift's success based on ME!) it's figurative not literal. I didn’t feel like I'd have to explain that, I presume anyone could get it. It's not like she's Godzilla or something lol
Delulu Rogers 7,235
Of course Taylor is still a threat. She’s literally the most successful female pop start every time she releases an album. BUT her singles have been not doing too well lately. They chart well but then free fall and don’t stay in the minds of the gp. I also haven’t heard ME on the radio yet and they also barely played any of reputation. Has she been blacklisted or something?
Babel 41,429
How many points in total does Me! have and how many points Shallow and 7 Rings have? Me! is just another front loaded situation. Let’s see how her next single does.

It can't be because people enjoy the song or because people genuinely support her or because she's just successful Excuse me, sir, but you’re talking to literally one of the biggest Taylor stans in here, so you can pipe down and rest assured that I’m not shading her. I’m not saying that people aren’t enjoying the song but if you look at the numbers, they don’t lie. Objectively, the song IS front loaded but there’s nothing wrong with that. Like @Economy said, the song isn’t a flop either who will love me when the night is over

Has she been blacklisted or something? Me is in the top 10 in US radio. Are u in the US? If u haven't heard it it's probably just coincidence that it was never on when u tuned in Either that or its not a radio hit where u live Ppl forget sometimes charts are for an entire nation as a whole but locally in each city the most popular songs can vary Here in Toronto Stereo Love (Mia Martine version) was probably the longest running big radio hit ever. For 1.5 years it was constantly on But that was in Toronto. The Canadian charts as a whole didn't reflect that On the flip side sometimes there's songs that don't end up penetrating some regions as much as others despite being big overall also individual radio stations still make their own decision what to play... theres so many possible explanations as to why u haven't heard it on radio yet

jaXXXon 1,538
You're wrong though. PEAKS don't matter. So what if Meh! had bigger total points? What counts is the end result. Me will never be as big as Shallow and will be/is considered an underperformance in the US because it's dropping like a rock and won't have impressive final sales. Also, it's downright bombing in Germany and France and flopping in other markets. It's not a hit.
