I mean, Barneys is also...Barneys. :awkney: it’s already a gorgeous, iconic space. To have this within a casino is quite a contrast, and this looks really premium in comparison to what was there before. That merch store was...lacking.

And the comment on neon, that’s been part of her aesthetic since the early days. Neon lights, bright colors, grit, grunge, glitter and glamour. IMO it’s really true to her image.

I wasn't referring to the actual Barney's space, but rather the set, styling, products, promotional art, and over all concept that went along with her Barney's "workshop." I'll pop some images in a spoiler below, so you can see what I mean. By comparison this Vegas museum/shop is desperately lacking in creativity and vision.

I don't think this Haus of Gaga space is horrible, it just doesn't reflect Gaga's ambition or history of appreciating art. No shade, but it's what I'd expect a Katy Perry Vegas museum to look like.

I'd rather Gaga raise the bar, then comfortably limbo under it.

However, the context can still be amusing. You don't usually put 'casino' and 'museum' together but it becomes very easy to rationalize because it's great for fans.

The first time I went to Vegas I was walking down the strip and randomly came across an exhibit in a casino with Liberace costumes and his Swarovski piano. It was my favorite thing about the trip. Here's hoping this might create some Gaga fans out of the GP walking through the casino.

I think it looks great. You are there to see the pieces. The way it is set up the pieces are the stars of the show! :vegas:

I absolutely loved all the whimsy and creativity of her 2011 Barney's collaboration!

However, having this become a semi(?)-permanent fixture in her residency, in celebration of her career up to this point, feels so right. I think the minimalistic metallic/neon is very chic and probably one of the only ways the whole collection could be displayed without pulling focus from the pieces. Minimalism set design is also present in each of Gaga's eras as well (especially Bad Romance and ARTPOP photoshoot/GUY)!

I also might be biased because this is actually FINALLY something Gaga related that I can get to experience!

I disagree about it looking great, but do understand that it’s just there to amp up tourists and fans for her residency. :vegas:

Omg so excited to see this next week!

Also the gagavegas account mentioned something about exclusive merch.

I wonder if Nicola will be there some of the time.

Such an amazing time capsule for fans.

SO many iconic pieces. I’ve always wanted to see some of these things in person!

I'm not sure if some fan mocked this up to showcase what it would look like - the actual "font" is completely handwritten and this is not. I couldn't see why this would be true anyway. It makes to have it where it is in Vegas for now.

She should put her Oscar there, that would draw massive crowds.

Or just put a fake replica there, it doesn't have to be real if it's behind thick glass! :rip:
