Trying to recapture the magic of something that has happened is hard to do and my imo it's better to keep moving forwards. Self referencing the style that made you famous and not allowing change to happen risks you becoming a characateur of yourself. It's like when people say they want another ____ 2.0- If I wanna listen to a certain sound that brings back memories I'll listen to the original, I don't need a rehash of it because it almost never feels as good or as authentic as the original. At the same time though she made some bops in that era so we will see I just hope she's doing it because that's what she wants to do, and it's hard to judge before we've heard anything.
