ltlmnstr 2,771
Why would anyone want to even bring a child into a world that’s on the brink of collapse from climate change and overpopulation? It’s practically child abuse. It is a sexist question because she was there to promote her music and artistry and not her personal life. The interviewer made it about her sex life. Because babies are made how? SEX! The interviewer reduced her to an incubator. Not surprising when you look at Alabama and all the red states passing anti-abortion laws. ”Rape is a blessing of God’s Will.” Talk about delusional. I honestly don't think that's exclusive to gender tho... Males too get asked if they'd like a baby one day The difference as I said tho is males don't have that time pressing factor women do

SlaeUrAnus 15,970
That question should not be asked to both sexes. It is intimidating and personal. You go to these interviews to discuss your career and future plans, not to discuss your personal life. In my messy era.

Not surprising when you look at Alabama and all the red states passing anti-abortion laws. ”Rape is a blessing of God’s Will.” Talk about delusional. I'm really tired of hearing the "we shouldn't bring new children into a world that's gone to hell" reasoning. No other non-Western country thinks this way. They treat having children like a civic duty to their family and country (not saying that's how we need to see it too, but it's just another way of looking at it) whereas in the west, we treat children as some sort of inconvenience, something that stops you having fun, environmentally unfriendly and adding too much to the population. It's like we've been brainwashed into this nonsense. If you actually pay attention to sociology and economics, a country has to keep producing new children (not adopting) in order to keep the country running in a stable way. If an entire generation decides not to have children, the older generations are going to be screwed - who's going to look after them in their old age? There are so many jobs that we don't want to do because they don't suit us and in order to ensure that there's enough people to do every job society demands, of which there are many. Most importantly, we need people to run the country and that's not going to happen if everyone decided to stop having children - eventually we'd reach a point where everyone's just getting old and dying and nobody can work or do much at all. Economies would collapse. If you want more information, look up the situation in Japan, whose birth rate is very low. I saw a documentary on it that showed how the country's suffering because not enough people are being born to replace ones dying off and the old are just getting older. Producing children is the most natural thing in the world, we have this ability for a reason. To call it "practically child abuse" is very ironic when everyone giving up having children would end up truly imploding a country years from now. To just amount reproduction to sex is quite an immature way of looking at things. It's about the creation of a new life and supporting that being into adulthood. And there's ways to have a biological child without actual intercourse. To ask a woman if they want children is not the same as amounting them to an incubator. That would only be if they added "because what else are you good for?" at the end. And a man can be asked if he likes children as well, it's not a female-only question, so is doing the same to men amounting him to no more than a sperm donor, if you're playing equal standards? And considering that the question was asked by a German interviewer, your association with abortion laws in America are hardly relevant here. Germany is actually very progressive when it comes to women's rights, so it wasn't the right correlation. For the record, I'm against these anti abortion laws, but it's possible to be this way and still see asking about children as a not sexist thing.
