As a huge Swift fan Me! was so disappointing at release but I’m obsessed with this performance and this rendition.

Its amazing how much better the song is without Brandon and without the spelling is fun bit omg. She just went to far with it and ruined the song imo.

This is like a colourful ode to the 60s BOP. I’m loving it. Shame she can’t release this version. Seriously why did it need those additions, overkill!

Honestly though.

I know it's tropey but I'd have loved to have seen Taylor in a Hairspray-inspired music video as an all-american high school girl or diner girl or car girl etc., jiving and twisting to this song when it comes on a jukebox, surrounded by black dancers. Would have been something different and unexpected from her. She could still have had the pastels and paint effects.

I don't think Brandon's vocals or energy meshed well with the song at all, and it converted it from mature but fun bop to trashy kids tune. I couldn't put my finger on exactly why I couldn't f*** with the song, and having heard this version, it's now clear to me.

Ok I'm finished. Looking forward to the album. :ladyhaha:

Style would've been a PERFECT song for this!

This is 100% live with a backing track for the backing vocals, have you not seen the Rep tour?

yeah, I don't see it, sorry... her voice is equally strong and has the same studio tone throughout the performance, no matter how she moves the mic, not even subtle changes in the vocals... and the 4 backup dancers all sound like Taylor, I think she just hired 4 black girls to be inclusive.

Mr S

This is probably her weakest of the 3 performances. I wonder if it's due to Brandon's absence. He brought energy and made her up her game.
