The problem are not the flags, it’s more the political motivation behind it which is not allowed in ESC. ESC is supposed to be a political-free place.

As someone who is pro-Israel I don’t see the problem with it at all since it promote coexistence.

ESC is meant to be a sanctuary with no politics involved (and don't come with VoTeS aRe PoLiTiCs because that barely means anything). Madonna disrespected this entire institution for the sake of shocking and making her the topic of the next newspaper. That's childish, selfish and very low.

So you are against her because she is promoting peace and the coexistence between Israeli and Palestine people?

Ok then. You must be a fan of war and the death of innocent people.

I'm pro-2-states so your post makes no sense. There is just a place and time and Eurovision isn't it! That was just pitiful and disrespectful to the EBU and the values the organization conveys

Yeah, I  understand that.

I just think some people are overreacting because it only messages coexistence, nothing more. :rip: but yeah ESC is not the place and Madonna and Iceland don’t understand what ESC is.

You don't go to a AA meeting with a bottle of vodka in your hand. Period.

Glad to hear you are pro-2-states, but Eurovision, hosted by Israel, is the perfect place to convey a message of peace. EBU wanting or not.

:ally: Are you telling me you really believe she did that for that reason ?

An actual debate with the concering parties is the perfect place to discuss this, not a music competition :air:

No. Do you think anything politically happened in Baku when the ESC was there? No.

This is like hosting event big as that in South Africa during Apartheid.

It shouldn’t have been in Israel if you thought that everyone will just keep their mouth shut and pretend nothing is happening. I’m surprised there wasn’t more.

So tell me this... Gaga spoke against the anti-LGBT agenda in Russia, while giving a concert.

Should she have held a TV debate with Putin instead? :ladyhaha: It would be a much better place to discuss this than in a music concert. :ladyhaha:

I have to laugh at the double standards, really!
