People can have their own opinions on who they think is the best candidate, on either side, but to see a politician like him being consistent for decades just goes to show you his character and how passionate he is on those subjects. I don't think he was a Hillary Clinton supporter, he was one of her staunchest critics if I remember correctly. But, he did the morally sound thing and tried to get his base to support Hillary, over Trump, even in spite of the Democratic National Convention's smear campaign against him in 2015/2016. He was able to singlehandedly push the Democratic party to the left where it has been in the center for decades!
