Dance in the dark could have been a last single but it didn't deserve to take alejandros place.

Black Jesus + Amen Fashion was planned as single plus Government Hooker, both Gaga said she wanted videos for. Scheibie would of been a good single, don't think it would have charted well in US charts though.

Sheisse is an amazing song but I don’t understand everyone thinking it could be a single. Can you imagine it on the radio?? It would flop.

Judas/EOG situation is kinda true.

HML and Scheiße - false. HML was never supposed to be a single, and she herself said that she had something special in mind for Scheiße aka her Fame perfume promo.

Venus - also false. Aura was supposed to be lead and that’s why she leaked it when her label didn’t allow her to release it.

Boys Boys Boys was supposed to be a single but they wanted Bad Romance out so it never happened.

Dance in The Dark was also supposed to be a single but also never happened.

Same goes for Venus.

This! Finally someone gets it right.

When it comes to the BTW era, Gaga said a lot of ****. She wanted Marry the Night as a lead, I forgot where she said that. But everything else as far as HML, GH, Schieße, etc, she wanted to make music videos for the entire album. She then said she wanted 10 singles.

You and I was never supposed to be released, then it made the album but was never gonna be a single, then it became one. Tbh I don’t even think she knew what she wanted (it could even be logistics behind the scenes,) but we will never know.

Can someone explain the significance of release a song as a single after the album has been released? Like the albums out there how do they release what’s already been released or maybe I’m missing something lol. I’m kinda confused how singles work :selena:

It’s not really a release more like a “push”. Once they decide the single they send it to radios, they promote the song, shoot a music video, do TV performances etc.
