You might not believe it, but and dare I say this seriously:

2013-2016 didn't break Lady Gaga.

It made her stronger.

:trollga:

Yeah, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, and all that. But if she can avoid all that **** she's been through... she should take that way :ohwell:

If she released a political record, I sincerely hope she wouldn't make the record thinking about the commercial/critical success or failure of the record. Gaga is inherently political, as you said. She's a bleeding heart liberal and social causes will always come up in her music. However, it's incredibly hard to strike the right tone in music right now when you're dealing with *gestures vaguely to America on fire.*If she wasn't answering questions about Trump in 2016, she's not doing it now. Like, jfc, who really wants to write music about living in a fascist state?

All that said, I'm sure she'll continue to release songs like Scheisse, Swine and Diamond Heart for the ladiez.

I’m going to offend a lot of people when I say this but I say NO. I would not really care to see it considering Gaga supported HRC in 2016 & that’s the only thing she has ever done that made it difficult for me as a fan.

I don't care about that. I care about her. Taking risks is good, but it has its cons. I'm here for Gaga to be political again, I'D LOVE TO! She's amazing at it. But I'm absolutely not here for a possible backlash again. We've been through that during Born This Way and post ARTPOP era and she was NOT doing well. So, even if it sounds shallow, I'd rather her playing safe, or taking minor risks.

I think she can handle backlash. She isn't in the place she was in those years, and I'm sure she will only do what she can handle.

Bitch I'm Madonna

And hopefully it will be the best for her :kara:

No because political statements stale quickly as things change constantly in that side of society...it will age the album if she does off about Trump and next year we have someone else as President :ladyhaha:

Idk....didn't the greats like Bowie, Hendrix, The Beatles, Elton, Madonna actually take risks when they had the GP in their hands? And it ironically paid off. Madonna's first true "comeback" from a decline was Ray of Light and it was a deep, twisted, risky journey into how she felt about the world and her life.

It would be seen as courageous in the long run.

Do we want numbers or respect in 2050 at this point?

I just think about it and you know....Debbie Gibson and Olivia Newton John were massive chart topping artists in the 80s but people remember Madonna and Cyndi more (who were riskier).

RESPECT

I don't care what she does as long as she serves these kind of visuals

I think political stuff would be good. But, I think it would be even better if she could put a lot of “Emotional Revolution” stuff on it to. Yes, it’s cool to feel! Yes, it’s OK to have emotions! Yes, there is nothing wrong with having mental health issues! I think we could reduce a lot of the hate out there if people who are hurting knew that people cared about their feelings.

She has been political since Born This Way, she wouldn’t shy away now. Just because it isn’t on your nose “TRUMP BAD” or an entire album dedicated to it, doesn’t mean she’s not singing about important social matters.

I dont think she should have the entire concept of the album be revolved around every single topic today

However, I do think she can pull off an album with insightful and meaningful lyrics being the main underlying tones of the songs (ala ‘The Velvet Rope’, Ray of Light’) But i dont think she should just make every song a politically charged anthem with the lyrics being obvious, maybe use metaphors?
