And the musical director is just adding to that and hyping up her outfit even more. That’s most likely all this is about. Telling some entitled Monsters to chill because they freak out every time one of their dates/speculations/expectations passes/never happens. It was a mess, but I was like "dang, just go along for the ride and enjoy it. She doesn't owe us anything. She does her own thing. She does the opposite of what you expect."
