FfFfFfFF 54,794
What he said was wrong and disrespectful, no need to pick other unrelated things in order to justify it. The body ideal is also wrong and puts pressure on young people, no need to argue against it. This type of discussion shouldn't be allowed on TV. StrawberryBlond 14,554
This isn't even the first time this has happened. Diplo tweeted about starting a petition "to get Taylor Swift a booty" some years ago. Not only is it body shaming, it's sexist too. Most people's first reaction to describe a man without saying his name would be to focus on what his job is, what work he's made popular, his personality. When it's a woman? First reaction is to describe her appearance, even if she's the most successful woman in the world. I am not a Taylor fan by any stretch but laughing at her body type is not on. She clearly had issues with her body for some time because her recent weight gain proved that her previous skinny body wasn't natural. She admitted in an interview that she had an unhealthy relationship with her body for years and is learning now that looking in a way that she deemed perfect is not so important anymore. When her breasts seemed to get bigger in the 1989 era despite the rest of her body looking the skinniest its ever been, I knew then that she wasn't naturally skinny and she'd definitely had a breast enhancement. Now that she's actually the curviest she's ever been, people still make jokes about her flat ass. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. This is why young women are increasingly getting expensive, invasive, dangerous surgery and even when they get it, it they're still not happy and this look goes out of trend again anyway and then they have to get surgery again. Sad world. 1 hour ago, Craven Moorecox said: Lol at you guys overreacting and being sensitive . It’s funny how y’all up in flames about a simple joke, but quick to defend something racist/prejudice when there racial issues going on against people of colors because “you don’t see it that way” lol aren’t there bigger issues to get mad about than someone saying a girl ain’t got a booty the long back is her trademark anyways People are ardent supporters of racial issues on here, as well as all kinds of things. You can defend multiple things, you know. Would you be so flippant if it were 2 white guys saying the sole description of a black woman was "she's got a fat ass" and then laughing hysterically? People are only finding this funny because Taylor's white and apparently, white girls body types are to be laughed at. When we're skinny, we get laughed at for having no ass, when we get ass implants, we get accused of trying to look black. I think this is an issue that can seriously affect one's mental health and it should be taken more seriously.

Candy Gaga 5,374
Tbh black people will get a pass for talking crap about white people in 2019. It will be seen as a joke. It's like some sorta reverse racism or something.

Consolidate your thoughts sweety, I don’t read pointless rants edit: just read your rant, and I want my time back I’m just saying the people who up in arms about this and blowing it out of portion are also a lot the same people who call others people overreacting when it comes to actual issues such as racial issues. If two white men said a black woman had a fat ass and start laughing, I would be laughing too if it was true. When did we have to start tip toeing over every thing we say. Especially when it’s comedy or a joke. We should just make comedy illegal
gypsy101 5,452
okay no offense to any thin people but being shamed for being skinny is nothing like the shame of being overweight. in american society thin people are valued so much more than the overweight. TimisaMonster 31,073
Well times have changed where people expect to have Kim Kardashian, Nicki Minaj, and Iggy butts...all fake. Taylor is a white girl and naturally had a slimmer frame. It would be weird to see her disproportionate and have a skinny body with a big round booty lol Stream my new single, 💜"Heartbeat"💜, on Spotify! StreamDelicate 296
Skinny is valued more than fat, but that doesn't mean it's the ideal. Guys usually want a girl with big boobs and a huge butt, neither of which you'll get from a girl who's thin as a rail. Not every guy of course, but I'm speaking generally. It sucks but that's the way it is. Hell you can apply it to the gay world too. I've been in the room when guys **** on another gay guy for being "anorexic" (and the guy they were talking about had more muscle mass than me, so I can't imagine what they thought about me). We all know how cruel our sisters can be when it comes to judging anyone who doesn't look like a Calvin Klein model
latina twilight 2,319
Honestly, there are so many things you can say about Taylor, whether you want to be nice about her or you want to be shady and funny. The joke was lame, and it's cringier to see them looking so proud of it. Also, Charlize looks like she's not having it, lol. "YOU USED TO BE SO KIND, I NEVER KNEW YOU HAD SUCH A DIRRTY MIND". Mr S 8,663
I don't know. Having a flat ass isn't necessarily a bad thing. It's like calling a man skinny. Sure he's not the ideal muscular built, but being skinny isn't that bad either. It would be different if they shamed someone for being fat.
Adakam 2
1 hour ago, Craven Moorecox said: it’s comedy or a joke. We should just make comedy illegal It already is, just compare the humor quality between shows like Friends and The Big Bang Theory. On Friends they knew how to make jokes tastefully but without limits, they could make fun of Fat Monica but they did it in a way that fat people would feel identified with her, inspired by her, of how on one hand, her body shape didnt stop her from having friends and growing up, but also as an inspiration of how she managed to lose all that weight. They showed you how her body shape didnt define her or her future. Now with The Big Bang Theory, the latest seasons it has felt like the humor is tailored and nitpicked to not offend anyone. And it has suffered greatly from it. And btw people, this oversensitivity is doing the exact opposite of what you want. Nowadays its so much of a taboo to even say the word fat, that fat people and fat kids are growing up in a world where theyll feel like fragile glass, that if anyone says even the slightest thing about them, then they should feel like a victim and make a huge deal about it. If you want to help that kind of people, or any sort of minority, stop demonizing everything, it makes things worse.

I somewhat like Desus and Mero, but ...this isn't the first time they've done this about women and this might be the final straw for me. Since it's a famous white woman, maybe the public (smdh) will wake up since they've ignored the ish these two have been saying about WOC for ages. It's always been low-key, shady ish too so if you point it out people say you are overreacting. Anyway, it may be a mild joke but it is still sexist and they have a history of this...and Taylor has body issues so I feel bad for her. *They deleted some tweets once they got their show, and I kind of wish I had taken some screen shots.
