Taylor Swift Bodyshamed?

Starts at 1:40. Basically, long back implies that Taylor have no butt. Lots of swifties were upset about the casual body shaming of Taylor and this is not the first time, while others pass it off a simple ‘joke’.

What do y’all think?

Personally, I think body shaming goes both ways. And yes fat people have it harder. But, that doesn’t mean skinny shaming does not exist. I’m sick of people making fun of women bodies when it does not fit their ideal of a ‘perfect’ body.

Imagine judging other people's appearance looking like that

If this was 2001 when being as skinny as possible for women was in she'd be hailed!

And I know skinny ppl get shamed too. I was super skinny before seriously working out and I felt the constant shame of not having mass like men are "supposed to" :madge:

I mean, there are WAY funnier ways to say this without being as rude, like "I think Taylor can relate to the flat Earth theory" :laughga:

I don't think it's meant to hurt Taylor in any way, but the joke is a little uh :green:

I can’t be the only one who’s noticed that she’s actually put on weight and her legs/butt are quite a bit more “there” now right???

It honestly disgusts me that having a flat ass is something that you can be shamed for. I feel bad for Taylor, there’s nothing wrong with her body at all but these sort of comments make people believe that there is something wrong with the way they look.

Stop judging her body and go focus on your own life:awkney:

REALITY

society: oh my god! Body shaming is not right! People should be more empathetic towards people. Everyone comes in all shapes and sizes and that’s okay!

also society: lol she’s got a flat butt

How is that shaming?

If I were to describe Kim Kardashian or Nicki Minaj I would say she has a huge *ss

edit: I rewatched and I get it now why it was kinda problematic after they kept repeating it

Basically making fun of her alleged ‘flat’ ass. Look at the way they said it and laughed about it later. A big ass is now seen as the ‘ideal’ type of physical feature so if I were to say so and so have a big ass, it’s taken as a compliment or as something positive in today’s climate. I’m not too educated about this topic either so my reply might not be your answer.

All the things you could say about TSwift and these men had to comment on her body, tbh men are trash. I get that it's not as bad an impact as what bigger people get, but body shaming is not ok. This is sexist and vile. I am not a fan of hers and I hate her new song, but she is a massively successful singer songwriter and performer, men need to stop reducing women to their bodies.

Well I just edited my comment.

I rewatched it and I still think that the first part is fine but then they keep repeating it and they become kinda mean
