And why does Canada have to be the test market for stuff so often? It's like we're Ginny pigs :neyde:

I was about to ask the same thing :wtfga:

I guess it's cuz we have a simmilar culture to the US so anything that works here (or doesn't) will probably have a simmilar reaction in the US

But since our population is much lower if it doesn't work out there's less damage done on the brand

That's the only explanation I can think of

I think this is a great idea! I can possibly help people with confidence issues from comparing themselves to others.

Oh wow this is great I was shocked at first when I opened the app yesterday but damn people will visit Gaga's profile and then my profile and nothing will tell them I have more likes.

However, as of mental health issues due to likes, they're still there: you know how many likes you got still; you just can't compare with others.

I step in the right direction! Social medias are toxic and a waste of time. Maybe it will change the gays in my area who judge me because I don’t have instagram or when I had it, had 9 followers and about 3 likes.

God this is so stupid, and anyone being happy about this make me laugh so much. If people are sick they should seek help or leave the platform, it's not like the likes count was recently introduced, it has always been there, not expect the world to adjust to their needs like they are ****ing babies.

Monsters never die.

They will still judge you because they are ****ing assholes, it's not instagram fault, so no it is not a step in the right direction. Social Media's problems are the users, not them.

This is good for the state of mental health that we live in. Also so many people buy likes for whatever reason that its not even a valid marketing for companies.

IMHO this won't stop mental health issues. It's not them who need to takes care of it, it's yourself.

Even after this, people will still have issue when people post pictures of their travels and fancy meals. And will still thinking they are less of a person cos they can do post the same thing cos they are poor etc. Like honestly. it won't stop until you make it so.
