This sounds like a watered-down version “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” without any kind of exciting breakdown, and even TNHMB is pretty restrained. “Something Big” was his best pop song imo. Artists used to rarely do that. Speaking of which, do you think an artist going 2-2.5 years without releasing a new album a la Gaga’s BTW to AP gap would kill a young pop star’s career nowadays?
