Those albums are nothing WW though. She may have had a cute lil' hit WW with Love Story but her true superstar status globally started with Red.

Gaga is bigger WW.

What does Gaga have to do with any of this :ladyhaha:

Point blank, WW or not, even her first album, maybe JUST in the US, had 2 pop crossover top 20 hits with Tear Drops On My Guitar and Our Song.

Are you from the US? No shade, just asking. She has been a dominant force since her 2nd album, for sure to the GP, pop included. She was EVERYWHERE.

Her 4th album curse was literally RED, and that wasnt cursed Haha and then, if I remember correctly, everyone was saying Reputation was her cursed album, and she outsold/outdid everyone with that...so...

Reputation showed there was going to be trouble ahead. It is her lowest selling album and it immediately follows 1989, which is her bestselling. And Reputation's only major hit was its lead single, again, following on from 1989, which had her biggest amount of hits. This is not good for the next album. By the sounds of things, critics may blow a bit hot and cold on it and lack of support from them and award recognition isn't going to bode well. Critics and the public have always liked Taylor's music equally but if the critics don't like it, maybe the public won't either? I've never seen this much critical hate for a Taylor lead single, so we don't know where this will lead. If even the Grammys weren't interested in Reputation, which had a more credible lead single than this, it looks like her Grammy chances will once again be slim and this was a girl who was once a Grammy favourite. Don't get me wrong, she'll stick around, have good first week sales and a successful tour but everything else from this album will remain up in the air until further notice.

Married the Night

I think this will count as her 3rd pop album. So singles released before the album will do well but not as well as her others. And then the next one will not do well.

I'm not sure what they mean then because she's never done this before :ladyhaha:

This is the first time she's taken a crazy insane concept and ran with it (unless you count ...ready for it?)

I don't think they were criticising the video, but the song.
